  • American boxing is paralysed. No big fights, just swerving

It’s a really bad joke now.

The biggest fights the last 1/4 of the year have Americans in it- wilder, Crawford v Porter, Plant and Stevenson v Herring. Would’ve been Spence v Manny as well if not for the injury.

LW, WW, FW ( at least the one time a year when Russell fights lol) JMW all have Americans on top.

True the biggest draws are not American.

The fights that should have happened but didn’t always have an American involved though. Wilder messing up undisputed hw fight, Spence and Crawford avoiding each other, Lopez avoiding Loma rematch. It’s been going on for a long time. It’s ****ed up the entire sport

Wilder didn’t mess it up. Fury negotiated in bad faith knowing there was a signed contract for a 3rd fight.

        Politics. I get that.

Loma didn’t have a rematch clause. That is bad business by his manager. It’s not on Teo to make up for that mistaken arrogance. Come on.

        It’s not all Americans.

You can only blame business decisions when a fighter doesn’t want the fight. They don’t want risk. They could make it happen if they wanted it

these Americans aren’t warriors. Look at the state of Crawford and Gervontas career lol it’s a joke. There is one American warrior- Shawn Porter that’s it

the rest are pansies always have an excuse to duck

Not in this era. When you’re a network employee you don’t decide who you fight, they do.

I disagree completely about Tank. His career is in no way a joke. He has a solid resume for someone his age.

Crawford got overpaid by Bob. Anyone would’ve taken that money. You can’t judge his whole career based on just ww.

These same guys have smacked around all their foreign competition. Just saying…..

I was looking up some guys I used to root for; Andrade 10 fights in 8 years, Russell Jr. 6 fights in 7 years. Even with their skills these guys are afterthoughts today. They don't fight, and when they do, they fight with nobody man.

Two big ones coming up though. Riding with the Bronze Bomber for what could be the last time vs. Fury in 2 weeks and Crawford against Porter will be fun. Nice to get Crawford into the thick of things at WW.

And Andrade is trying to get in with the big names, there just isn't a business reason to fight him. It's unfortunate. Billy Joe clearly ducked him... so i don't buy into this American fighters ducking narrative that much.

Can you blame them? PBC is paying these guys to fight a bum once a year for millions...

Tank is a hype job. No two ways about it. If you look up hype job in the dictionary, it says Gervonta Davis. It’s true. Google it.
