Loma lost to Salido and Lopez. They were inferior to Ruiz and Usyk.

Golovkin fans were claiming he was the best MW ever, Loma fans were flat out saying he was the best fighter ever. Both fell far short of that. Joshua was only claimed to be the best HW now and it's still possible for him to achieve that, a win against Usyk in the rematch and it's back in play.

So Golovkin and Loma are far bigger hype jobs.
Wlad was shot and 41 and that fight was in AJ's backyard man. That type of comment, calling that win a win 'over an ATG' is absolutely pathetic.

Loma has been pretty average at 135 but AJ would have never taken that fight against someone like Lopez. He has tested himself more, and with better results, than AJ.

I see you're still deluded with that last line. Stay hopeful buddy, but just don't let it shatter your world when AJ loses again.

Usyk is a better fighter than Lopez P4P, but he wouldnt fight Lopez? Stop it. Those two had ridiculous hype, Tyson Fury has ridiculous hype too. As i said these fighters have been called ATG's, best ever in their weights, Joshua was never that hyped.

It took him about 3 years to finally fight Usyk. He didn't have the luxury of waiting for Usyk to move up in weight because they fight at HW. Not sure if you didn't know but there actually isn't a weight class above HW.

Well no one would say that about AJ now, after that pathetic performance by him vs Ruiz. But yeah he was as hyped as anyone in this era, no doubt about it. Those other guys are just much better and more deserving of the hype. Don't mention AJ with them again.

They were bigger hype jobs that's objective, look through all the threads they were hyped as the best ever and failed miserably. You were one of the clowns hyping them so no wonder you're butthurt.

? I'm not butthurt about anything lol. I never really hyped Loma at all, he isn't the style of fighter I usually like. I like the come forward types like GGG is/was. I still evaluate fighters for what they do in the ring though. But in general come forward types are better fighters as it's easier to score good shots if you're coming forward vs vice versa. In a fight, if you're coming forward and your opponent is backing up, 98% of the time it's for a reason.

Loma was undoubtedly great though, and you can be a great fighter without being a come forward fighter. ATG amateur credentials for him and he did some very special things from a very early time in the pros. At 130 he looked like one of best to do it there, and many would agree with that. And I'm not really a fan of his, I just am able to appreciate talent and can give props to him for his run. At 135 he wanted to challenge himself and didn't shy away from facing the other best guys at that weight, as most other top fighters would have done in that position. He is much much better than AJ pfp.

GGG would be comparable to AJ if he got KOed by someone like Matthew Macklin and then outclassed by Canelo in their first fight. Of course, those things never happened. He dominated the Ruiz/Macklin types, and was definitely the better man vs Canelo in those fights as well.

                Don't attempt to deny it.

                • Brits love their fighters but constantly overrate them.

he just attracted a huge casual fanbase in the UK, a few of which ended up on here, such as **** Em and Robbie Barrett

those of us from the UK that know boxing have always said he isn’t that good. He’s just a solid B level fighter.
Hes just a massive man taking advantage of a weight class with no limits...which is prefectly legal btw.

Just dont think he'd do well if all things were equal

                    • I respect any fighter who gets in the ring and puts forth an effort to win. AJ has many flaws, his IQ being his biggest and inability to adapt during the course of the fight. There was no way he or his corner thought he was winning enough rounds to not press the action in the 10-11-12 rounds. I was disappointed in his game plan from the start and thought to myself that he has to be just trying to figure out the style of Usyk and he'll turn it on. It just never happened and the better fighter won. By the way, I am not a Joshua fan at all. I was hoping for a AJ win to set up the unification fight in 2022 with Fury. Yes, Fury is going to win.
