I've said it before but Usyk is not a heavyweight version of Lomachenko like many people seem to think.

Lomachenko is on another level higher than most fighters. I think I believe him when he says his performance vs Lopez was due to a bad shoulder. If Lopez fights Lomachenko within next year, we might see a different fight.

Or we might see Lomachenko complain about his shoulder again. And maybe it will be legit. But at some point you have to stop blaming injuries and just retire if they are hampering you that badly. That you get an injured shoulder vs top fighters, and mop the floor with lesser fighters.

I give Lomachenko the benefit of the doubt though. I think he can do better in a rematch, and possibly beat Lopez.

Usyk outlanded Chisora in 9 of 12 rounds, landed over 50 more punches total (and at a higher connect rate) and had Del Boy hurt at one point. I dont get why people keep ****ting on that performance. It was less competitive than Whyte/Chisora, and Parker didnt even beat Del Boy really.

Everyone seems to be to old if AJ wins , even in their 30”s ?

If he defeated someone 24 instead of 34 they would say his opponent was to young .

I already know when AJ wins on Saturday it’ll be he defeated a Cruiserweight that’s no surprise ,AJ has had more excuses thrown at him after a win then any top fighter in history .

I like Joshua via late KO or 8-4 UD. It will be a boring forst 3-4 rounds.

Yeah, I see it the same, especially the opening rounds. If Usyk was that cautious against Chisora, he'll be straight skittish against AJ. I tend to think AJ will be just as cautious in the early going as well. He should come straight at Usyk and do a Lewis-Ruddock on him, but he won't.

It's because Chisora is pretty much trial horse level these days and Usyk is being touted, by some, as the next big thing. If Usyk was going to take over the HW division like Evander, then he would have completely schooled a fringe guy like Del Boy, but Chisora ran him down and mostly lost because he got tired.

Usyk's fight against Chisora isn't quite as bad as it's made out. Usyk was never in any danger of losing. The problem was that, at times, he seemed unable to faze Chisora or keep him off him, which could be a big problem when the guy coming forward hits much harder, like Joshua. We'll see.

Another issue, though, is that it wasn't just the Chisora fight either. He looked even less impressive against Chazz Witherspoon. Maybe those fights were just a case of Usyk getting used to the extra weight, but I'm not convinced. Chisora is a heavy man, but Usyk hasn't faced anyone really tall yet. Chisora is a similar height to Usyk. Fighting someone three inches taller, with a four-inch reach advantage and who can hit with real power should be a bridge too far.

Bellew had no problems touching Usyk up in the first few rounds. If he's hit that many time by Joshua, he's like to find it's a whole different kettle of fish.

Chisora clearly beat Parker. The Whyte 1 fight could have gone either way on the scorecards and the rematch was going the same way until the late finish. Arent Parker and Whyte supposed to be elite HWs and two of AJs best wins?

Considering that usyk is now about as big as George Foreman when he was known as "big George" back in the 70s, I don't understand ppl saying he's small. Ok now we have several huge hws, but also usyk moves way faster than Foreman did back then. And he has a superior technique.

Look his fight vs Bellew or vs Gassiev. He was a nightmare for them. I hope he won't let aj escape all night, like ruiz did in their rematch.

Usyk has the weight of a heavyweight, there is more to bring as big as Foreman. It has to do with bone density, wrist and neck size, etc.

I think Usyk is smart to bulk a bit... and I think he wins, though probablywon't get a decision. But gaining muscle mass on itself, weight is not the only thing that makes someone a heavyweight.
