I remember back then when I was a Crawford fan. He shut up a lot of his then haters when he beat Viktor Postol. His critics were saying he was gonna duck Postol. Then he beat Postol pretty easily.
He hasn’t done anything since.
Looking at his resume, on one side it’s crazy to see him as top 3 P4P, top 3 @ 147, with that 147 resume. On the other hand, I guess writers are known to try to be cool and edgy and bump up fighters who probably do not belong in the top 10.
Lopez beating Lomachenko and Commey like he did, should put him above Crawford really.
Josh Taylor has also been fighting tougher opponents than Crawford, and winning.
Crawford is being ranked above all these guys for no real good reason other than he is looking good vs fighters who used to be top 10 like Brook and Khan. Like those two were not even in the top 10 at 147 when he beat them.
His resume after Postol is just empty. It’s devoid of any real big win. It’s like he reset after Postol, became an up and coming prospect boxer. Like his resume from Molina Jr to Kell Brook is something you would expect to see from like Vergil Ortiz Jr or if Ryan Garcia came up to 147 today and they had to bring him up slowly. Some 20-23 year old boxer coming up in the ranks. You do not expect to see that from a 30+ year old veteran who is being ranked top 3 P4P.Greenfield02 likes this.

Insignificant individuals use forums and comment sections on social media and the internet in general to try to make themselves feel significant. Whether y’all believe what you put out there or not it makes you feel important to be able to affect the narrative. And the actual media eats it up because affecting the narrative is what gives them power and keeps all of y’all coming back for more. The truth doesn’t sell basically. So keep on internet pretending and social media narrative bending. But the proof is in the pudding and we all know that Terence Crawford is the absolute best right now. He’s the man to beat and any conversation about who is the best in boxing right now is centered around him. Hate it or love it. Openly accept it or try to spin it. But no one truly doubts it.

Problem is that you have alot of posters who speak it likes it's gospel (when it's not) to prove the truth of their belief. And that's all it is, a belief. An opinion. Telling me you're guy is going to win is like telling me Tyson beats Liston.
Until we get the two fighters in the ring, we can only say what we think will happen or who we think is better.PBR Streetgang likes this.

Crawford got two-pieced, wobbled and dropped by Kavaliauskas. Spence has never been dropped, never been near dropped.
Crawford got his eye closed and lost EVERY round from the ghost of Kell Brook after draining him and forcing him to come across the pond instead of fighting him on his home turf. Spence has never lost more than 6 rounds in any fight.
Crawford was so weak he couldn't spark the chin of alleged glass jaw Amir Khan, damaged from almost being killed in the ring by Canelo and wrecked by Sammy Vargas, so he had to resort to a BLATANT low blow to get him out of there. Spence has never knocked someone out from a low blow.
Crawford whiffed punches on Jeff Horn to get the ref to trigger stop it. Spence has had nothing but clear, indisputable stoppages.
Crawford was completely outboxed by a one-legged Jose Benavidez. Spence has never fought a cripple. Everyone he's fought was at the top of their game, prime and undamaged.
You see what you want to see, bro. Aggression. That's all.
That's cool - he's finally fighting someone who's more aggressive than him, and as Kavaliauskas showed us, Crawford tends to lose his temper in firefights but doesn't have actual knockout power. Spence has knockout power and even he couldn't stop Shawn Porter from still coming after him. Kavaliauskas even told Vergil Ortiz that Crawford has no power.
So, I don't know what else to tell you. Crawford hasn't shown you anything for 5 years. You're still hanging off OLD Crawford - 135 Crawford, 140 Crawford. That guy is GONE. 147 Crawford has a good chance of experiencing his Michael Spinks moment against mini-Tyson.
Mikey Garcia was never a welterweight.
Danny Garcia turned down a fight with Crawford. When asked about it, his father told Crawford to stop bothering PBC fighters.
If Crawford fails your eye test that's cool, we'll just have to wait for this Porter fight to have our questions answered.
I think you're right about him losing his temper when hurt but no one's perfect.
