It's been so long, I don't think either one of them has benefited from the lapse. With the Covid and personality issues, I'm sure Fury wants a movie or tv commercials, the odds shift some. The mind games aren't as effective, but the rest might still be intact. I hear wilder is bulking up. If his power goes up, it might mean something, but if he's planning on carrying Fury, he might be able to, Fury won't mind. If it was 60-40 before, I'd still have it 55-45 Fury.

So yes, you will get hit in sparring and you will get stung and you will get hurt. That's the whole purpose. If you're beating your sparring partners easily then there is always the possibility they are going too easy on you. And that doesn't help at all!!! Well, maybe for minor confidence building, but not too much in the long run.

So I suggest taking any sparring reports as totally subjective things. The fight night opponent will not "fight" exactly the same as the sparring partner, and the main fighter will not respond the same then and at fight night to everything the sparring partner does vs the opponent. Now, sparring has its place, and one of the ideas is to mimic the opponent, but again, it's to show the fighter's weakness to the opponent. So, these things will happen in sparring. They are a natural occurrence.

Personally, I like hearing that a fighter is being challenged in sparring, because at the very least, we know he's being exposed to some weakness in his game and will hopefully adjust things in camp to keep that exploit from happening come fight night.
Sounds like you have been in the ring. It's a similar concept in a fighting martial arts club: better to get dropped by your teacher, or a training brother... they will not kick you in the head while down, etc.

Any man willing to die in the ring as Wilder was cannot be taken lightly, especially when he has already proven he can reach Fury's chin. I have great respect for Tyson but this will be a much different contest.

Maybe Anderson did bust him up? So what?

Anthony Joshua has been knocked spark out in sparring loads of times, against guys a hell of lot inferior to Anderson, and it's not exactly done AJ any harm thus far in his career.
None of the stories are true. The only one that was, is the David Price one where AJ had been in the cells and not training so they taught him a lesson and put him in the ring against a fully fit Price. There was no KO, but there was a KD. Nothing more.

The sparring stories are bullshlt though. It all came from when Arum said that they were giving him some hard sparring in camp. That's all he said. Even if they were getting spanked he'd say this. He's their promoter so wants to put out news on how his prospects are doing against the champ. But one of Wilder's camp took this and spread a different story. They're just trying to give someone very mentally weak some confidence. It's not working though. Wilder is what he is... A coward to his core.

I remember back in the day Americans saying this for every Lennox camp in order to spread stress and defame him because he was either beating Americans, or having them run from him. It's bitterness that starts these stories. That and cowardice.

No one who shuts down and keeps moving off the back foot whilst getting beat up and doing nothing is prepared to die in the ring. All you saw was his delusion and arrogance when the towel was thrown in. A fighter really wanting to go out on their shield would throw back. Not cower and do nothing.

Wilder is transparent. I question the people who can't see through this fraud and his constant lies and contradictions.

Do the 3 Abrahamic religions have different Satans? I was once assured by a good, ******, friend that, in reality Christians, ***s & ******s were all worshipping the same God, just in different ways. He was a lovely guy but I wasn't convinced. I said 'but, in that case, Mr A , a christian, who drinks beer & eats bacon in England will go to heaven, but Mr B, a ******, who drinks beer & eats bacon in Saudi Arabia will NOT go to heaven. How does that work??? I'm happily convinced there ain't no heaven nor hell. This is it.

If Efe Ajagba and Jarrod Anderson can knock Fury out, what do you think Wilder is going to do to him?

Fury needed to shut the camp down and regroup. Won't make a difference though. Come October 9th, Wilder will be two-time WBC champion and the new lineal heavyweight champion of the world.
It only hurts on the night, it must have really hurt on 2/22/2020
