Bob Arum is still the greatest, he will make you think if Fury fought Jesus he’s got a shot! Dam that sparring went astray and he was placed on his ass on more than one occasion, it’s Tyson Fury the real heavyweight champ. Okay, so if someone wants to start a new thread, I think it would be great to have a bunch of sparring stories just for entertainment and fun. Here are 4 that have stood over time. Man, if someone could create a new thread - please let me know. 1) A young Tony Ayala it was said got the best of Jose Pipino Cuevas during sparring sessions. Ayala was an up and coming Jr Middleweight prospect at the time, and Cuevas a WBA Welterweight champ. 2) It seems pretty obvious that Errol Spence knocked out Adrien Broner. Not sure if it was out cold or just stopped in some fashion. And 3) there is or was video proof of Paul Spadafora owning Mayweather in a sparring session. I did see that video in its entirety long ago. HOWEVER, Paul was in training for a fight and and Floyd was not at all in training and you could see that Floyd got winded. And 4) the AJ vs DeBois sparring sessions are near famous now. Can anyone take the time to create a thread. I think it would be great to see the ones that are true, part true, or false for entertainment.

If Efe Ajagba and Jarrod Anderson can knock Fury out, what do you think Wilder is going to do to him?

Fury needed to shut the camp down and regroup. Won't make a difference though. Come October 9th, Wilder will be two-time WBC champion and the new lineal heavyweight champion of the world.

Floyd called his sparring session with a prime Pernell Whitaker "a learning experience" but there are rumors that Floyd got schooled.

Sparring doesn’t mean Jack, I know a guy was beating all the champions as a spare partner and then couldn’t win a fight. I use to beat Tom Boom Boom Johnson ass why helping my good friend get ready for Oscar Gay La Hoya but who was champion not me, sparring is apples to oranges and is a method to get ready and some champions or poor at it. I watch James Toney have very difficult times with Lonny Beasley butt who’s the Hall of Fame fighter; see what I’m saying. All truth too!

The rumor came from the Fury camp. And it wasn't just Anderson. First, Efe Ajagba knocked him down, then Jarrod Anderson finished him off. Fury realized that he needed to recover and he needed more time.

Many sparring stories listed above. Doesn’t tell the story on fight night. Vitali Klitschko got laid out by Raphael Butler in sparring & exactly how many times was he down in his career? None! Tye Field was beating the heck out of Arreola allegedly & got sent home. Who would you pick to win in a real fight? Arreola would have crushed him faster than Michael Grant or Monte Barrett did. I don’t take sparring stories too seriously. Malik Scott & Maurice Harris were 2 guys who were supposed to be tough sparring partners because of their boxing skills. Those skills Didn’t always show up under the lights.

This rumour came from Team Wilder, who are not exactly known for telling the truth.

Maybe Anderson did bust him up? So what?

Anthony Joshua has been knocked spark out in sparring loads of times, against guys a hell of lot inferior to Anderson, and it's not exactly done AJ any harm thus far in his career.

I didn't mean to strike a nerve. My apologies. The headline of the article is that Fury is killing his sparring partners. When did I mention anything from Wilder's camp? Nor did I say that struggles against Anderson were indicative of anything for Fury.

In a July 2nd article on BoxingScene, Fury's own promoter Bob Arum states that Anderson is giving Fury "hell" in sparring. In the same article, it mentions John Fury also giving high praise to Anderson.

I merely was assuming that Anderson was probably not present for the most recent sparring based on the fact Fury is "killing" his sparring partners and Anderson had previously given him "hell".
