I'm not even saying it to hate on Bud or discredit him but I just don't understand the noise about Porter and never have. Even Conor Benn looked better vs his last opponent ffs The fight before he got a horrible gift decision in vs Ugas.

He is tough, a tough fight for most WWs in todays era at least but ultimately he falls short at the highest level.

Fans want to act like he is elite but he really isn't.
I think a real, true elite WW should be making pretty easy work of a fighter of Porters calibre in all honesty. I think Bud beats him a lot easier than people think and Porter and his fans will be in for a rude awakening when he tries his usual mauling bs because now for the first time he's coming up against someone who can actually fight on the inside - none of his previous opponents can. Some will argue Spence even then I think he's more a mid-range fighter.

Like what does he do better than Bud? People might feel he is stronger, I don't. I don't see him having any advantages.

That is it, its just a ''good win''.
I don't think it does anything for Bud but wrongfully deceives a few critics overrating Porter.

For me Porter is a guy who should be getting used as a stepping stone now for world level for prospects like Boots and Ortiz while Bud should be granted he can't atm be fighting Spence or Ugas whom I consider to be half a step above a Porter.
To me Porter, Garcia, Thurman had their time and its gone, a new era is coming through of bigger and frankly more talented WWs.

Quite clearly I was very wrong, fair play to Porter and the PBC for going through with this figgt and for letting it happen under a Top Rank promotion.

So I don't need to come clean about something I was very open and clear on. I was wrong but I was very clear.

Nash is calling a surprise Porter SD win, with Crawford winning by KO in the rematch. This will be a helluva fight, and if Crawford wins, he deserves credit. I don't care what the odds are, Porter had a case to win all 3 fights that he lost. They were very close. Nash out.

To keep Crawfords 147 as weak as possible to keep Spence more relevant. Spence has fought the better guys at 147 and holds more belts at 147 and does better numbers at 147 but is seen by alot of ppl as the 2nd best fighter at 147 and the argument against him being 2nd best is "BUT CRAWFORD AIN'T FOUGHT NOBODY AT 147" and I felt they would want to prolong that by keeping the PBC Welters away from Crawford.

But Porter is fighting Crawford and I hold my hand up to that. But then it's still only Porter, Spence v Crawford is the one everybody wants, the divisions big fight.

Compared to his usual opponent, Porter is Mt Everest.
