There is no justification for Loma on this.
I honestly think that Loma did not ask for a franchise BS belt to avoid Haney or anyone. I don't think he has that cowardly mindset.

I know for a fact, and heard Arum say, addressing Haney pointedly: "We'll ask for a franchise. Loma is not going to fight you." I guess it must have been easy for Arum to convince Loma's inept management. That Klimas crook turned Loma's image into something else.

I know Loma doesn't have that cowardly mentality. When these young guns first came around, and they were mentioned with Loma, Loma's disgust couldn't be more clear. He practically disdained mentioning them. He was once asked to rank who would be his biggest challenge given these 3 names: Lopez, Davis, Mikey. Loma answered: Mikey, Mikey, Mikey.

You should've seen Loma's face when we first started hyping up the Loma-Lopez fight on here. Like these guys were way beneath him. That's how he saw the 135 geography.

I think they still don't know what it is.
Sorry but I don’t believe him. Besides, Arum knew exactly what it was, which is how he negotiated for it.

The facts speak for themselves on this. If any other boxer had done what Loma had done he’d be called on it.

Worse, a lot of the guys attempting to defend Loma on this screamed for months when canelo did it to ggg.

No way Loma turns down a million plus payday if Haney was easy.

I don't think Haney is easy. At that time, he wasn't even a consideration to Loma. People started to push the Lopez fight because Arum wanted it inhouse and Loma obliged. At the time, Loma's disdain wasn't even reaching Haney, Haney didn't count. He had just started acknowledging Davis and Lopez.

If Loma beats Haney as easy as you posted then he’d have made a couple million for the mando defense. Instead he dropped the belt and sat out a year.

History shows us that when Loma had an easy mando defense-Crolla- he makes the fight. Why didn’t he do same when the mando was Haney? Because Haney isn’t as easy as you posted.

Whether I never fought before or have a resume better than SRR and Ali combined is irrelevant. Nothing involving me changes Loma’s actions.

Must be hard to watch a guy you idolize run away from such an “easy” payday. If it isn’t fear, then tell us what it was?
You realize if you came into a boxing gym, especially mine, and said out loud, "Loma ducked Haney." you'd get laughed out of the building? Sat out a year and dropped the belt? He literally fought a unification fight you ****ing moron.

Dude stop talking about boxing.. you don't know what the hell you're talking about.

Well I believe him. It was described as a "designation," and not a "belt." I think there's a better argument that he ducked Charlo rather than GGG. I do think Canelo ducked GGG. Canelo was seeing double for months after he fights GGG. And it wouldn't be the first time he ducked GGG.

Anyway, I think that whatever the case, the Franchise tag is BS. But I also believe what Loma said just because Loma is that guy that just worries about fighting. He leaves the fight plan to his dad, the contracts to Egis, and the business to Arum. He designates responsibility so that all he has to do is focus on training and fighting.

I'll say this, I'm 99.99 percent certain that had Loma beat Lopez, he would have given Haney the next fight. He was already communicating with Haney about fighting right before his fight with Lopez. And Haney was getting excited about it too. For me, Lopez is the worst thing that could have happened to the lightweight division. He's held it up for a whole year, and not only that, he's saying that he's not going to fight anyone in the lightweight division. It's bull****.

Wow?! What are you doing watching boxing? Shouldn't you be watching checkers or spelling B's? Nearly knocked out in the 12th round? Ahahahahaha Ahahahahah Trolling hard, my man. But not doing a good job of it. It helps if you have the truth on your side. It's debatable he was even hurt. In fact, I don't see him as being hurt. If we go back and watch that round, you'll see that it wasn't anything of the sort. In fact, Loma did better in the 12th than Lopez. You want proof, here you go: Rounds One through Twelve – Punch Count
