Wilder fights at 215-225 lb and Fury fights at 250-265 lb but wilder still hits harder someone explain this ?
Why does Wilder hit harder than Fury despite being smaller ?

Wilder doesn’t win rounds much so he’s always planning on a knockout so he over commits to the punch . Furys goal is to win rounds by out boxing you with very little emphasis on getting a knockout . Wilder hits harder because without getting stoppages he would have a few losses so he’s trained himself to concentrate on knockouts first and foremost. Wilder is very fast as well and has a decent sized back muscles which are used a lot to throw straight punches .Comment

Generates more force, apply's that force in a short amount of time = Punching power.
There are Olympic Weight Lifters who weigh 150 pounds, who are stronger than 90% of the people who weigh over 200 pounds.
Wilder is gifted in ways, Tyson Fury is not. Fury is gifted in many area's, but his punching power ? 'I would honestly say for a fighter his size, his power is below par'.

When a man who weighs 270 + pounds, is landing continuous punches on a fighter who he out weights by 40 pounds 'And that fighter is still standing, and willing to fight'.
This is a clear indication that Tyson Fury's punching power is under par, in relation to his body mass etc
Deontay Wilder was beaten up by Tyson Fury, was stumbling about even before he was hit.
But even still he was hanging in there, and lets all remember? Wilder was still on his feet at the time of the stoppage.
Tyson Fury at elite level, has never scored a legitimate knock-out.
Deep down you know that Tyson Fury's single punch power, is not really on the same level as Deontay Wilder's.
Note: But I will also add, that I think Wilder's range of power is overrated. His punching power seems to have a small range of delivery 'I don't think he hits hard with every punch'. His power is mainly in his wide swings, and long range punches. That is precisely why Tyson Fury during the second fight opted to close him down quickly, and suffocate his space in which he could work in etcLast edited by PRINCEKOOL; 09-07-2021, 07:13 AM.Comment

The first kockdown by Fury was by far the hardest punch of the fight.

Most boxers don't throw their hardest possible punch. Less control and leaves them off balance.
I doubt Wilder actually has a harder punch than most heavyweights.
I will give him credit for being able to put together a style that took him to the WBC Championship and multiple defences.
Even if that style never really got tested out at the top level until Fury.Comment
