Wilder hits hard because of tendon strength, and he loads up that right hand, but does a good job concealing it and he is quick with it.
Why does Wilder hit harder than Fury despite being smaller ?

wilder capitalises against the 'run of play' if i can use that phrase in a boxing context.
the paid off judge, kenny bayliss...kept on deliberately 'breaking up' the fight which is when wilder capitalises.....and just like that tyson reversed the card onto wilder and put him down.
game over...and there was no dodgy doctor to save him because the dodgy ones were too busy pushing coronavirus in them days.
kenny bayliss, the hoodrat ref could only cry on the inside.
plus, lest we shall forget....that ricky hatton put a bomb inside the glove.

Tyson Fury has knocked nobody out at elite level.
None, never done it.
Zero knock outs achieved.
Wilder is not even known to have a durable punch resistant, as he gets hurt all of the time.
It is his gameness, that helps him hang on in there.
Fury at 270 + pounds, was landing multiple punches and still could not take him out.
Tyson Fury is not a big puncher, considering his size. His power is under par etc.

Wilder does not hit hard with every punch, his main power is in his wide or long punches.
That is why overall, his offense is not a all-time great offense.
Mike Tyson had a overall more devastating and far reaching offense, with every single punch 'He had the capability to take somebody out'.
Mike Tyson only needed a few inches of space, to spark Francis Botha out.Comment

Wilder has:
- Higher Bone density
- Higher fast twitch fibre density (explosive puncher) One of the most explosive punchers of all time actually.
- Technique
Fury on the other hand is built for stamina.
He has a balance of slow/fast twitch fibres. Big Vo2 max, large lung Capacity. He doesn't leverage his shots like Wilder can. His bone density will be lesser. kinematics/technique, Fury is more of an arm puncher - Which becomes more apparent as the fight wears on, but he can keep punching. Lactic acid doesn't built up as much for Fury.
Fury can use his mass and leverage to generate power (overhand right, stiff arm jab and hooks to the body) but generally he is not a power puncher. He is a stamina/Attrition fighter.
This is why Fury putting constant pressure on Wilder is very important. He can maintain a work rate that Wilder can't.Last edited by miniq; 09-11-2021, 06:01 AM.Comment

His punching technique is geared exclusively for power and he throws basically nothing but 100% power right hands, and he's done it his whole career.

Most ppl don't realize that punching power is directly correlated to the speed the punch is thrown. Its very debatable if Wilder actually hits harder than Fury now that Fury has become kronk Fury.
Look at it this way,a 9mm can penetrate objects further than many other larger calibers because of the same exact thing, the object is flying faster.
