When you have a toxin in your body, it's expelled through your gastric and urinary tract. You pee it out. Masking doesn't mean you can turn lead into gold, it means you're hiding something. Trying to expel an unwanted agent. First the peds, then the flush. It makes no difference, like you say, but there are more reasons for taking a diuretic than just cutting weight.
A masking agent for what exactly? The only thing it could cover up would be other amphetamines. Given phentamine is an amphetamine, what would be the point? They all have basically the same affect on your body chemistry, which is to induce a temporary fight or flight type response. And it wouldn't alter the outcome of your VADA test: you'd still test positive for a banned stimulant.Comment

Great post. It's a shame the Brazilian, especially as a former Olympian, hasn't made a stand and pulled out of the fight. But I'm sure if he did he'd never get another big opportunity as the powers that be, eg WBC, in pro boxing are corrupt, with no desire to address the rampant PED use.Phentermine is an upper. It is much stronger than caffeine. Weight loss sure, but it enhances physical strength and speed. You take this before a fight and you have an advantage.
This is a PED. For him to have this in his system enough to show in the test is substantial. With the buzz you get with this stuff, you know you've taken it. It doesn't just get put in your food by mistake. I don't buy this. I think he's dirty. I wouldn't be surprised to see the whole stable dirty. Bradley is right on this. Not a hater. Just don't like PEDs in boxing.Comment

Apparently this term only applies to the actual day of the fight, not the training period up to it?!!
No competitive advantage hahaha how absolutely ridiculous.Comment
