The WBC Clean Boxing Program uses VADA testing.

Oscar Valdez tested positive on 2 VADA tests.

That should be cause for punishment.

Why does WADA all of a sudden come into play? Someone explain it to me.

Valdez has put himself in a dangerous position. How he handles this will define his career. He needs to be pro active and don't kiss Mauricios adz. That looks guilty and slimy and nasty. Pull out of this fight and work his way back, with clean testing.

A major problem with Sulaiman's stance is that it is at odds with the WBC's ostensibly zero-tolerance stated position, which is if a fighter tests dirty with VADA he cannot fight for the WBC. That is their words.

Separate to that I don't have a problem with the idea of an adjudication based on the entirety of the testing evidence in order to make an informed conclusion on whether someone has attempted to cheat. Ideally testing would be more frequent leading up to a fight (two to three times at random per week would be helpful, though I understand in reality this is likely cost prohibitive).

Part of the problem here is the infrequency of testing. An argument of contamination is more persuasive if you can show many, many clean tests either side. Here we have a clean test weeks later, which makes it impossible to conclusively decide it was contamination.

This "appetite suppressant" is also a masking agent. Look... at the end of the day they're sanctioning the fight because there is a real danger Canelo will show up with the same PED in his tests. The Reynoso's and that whole team is just rotten cheaters to the core.

So apparently Ryan Garcia takes a significant time out of the game on "mental health" grounds but returns absolutely ripped to **** and calling out anybody with a pulse?? Hmmmm.

I believe VADA provides test results to WBC who then adjudicate on any positive cases. But the commision overseeing the event/site licensee is using WADA testing protocols and criteria?

The WBC is giving the WBA a run for their money on who's the most scummy, disgusting boxing org. Sulaiman is toxic - he needs to be driven out of the sport.

I can't do much, if anything, but I can make a conscious decision not to watch any fight sanctioned by the disease known as the WBC. F*** them.

A masking agent for what exactly? The only thing it could cover up would be other amphetamines. Given phentamine is an amphetamine, what would be the point? They all have basically the same affect on your body chemistry, which is to induce a temporary fight or flight type response. And it wouldn't alter the outcome of your VADA test: you'd still test positive for a banned stimulant.

The first time I agree with ESPN company man Timothy Bradly, hope he get ko'd. Will read about it after the fight I'm not watching even though I want to hear Ward and Bradly comments. That's what youtube is for lol.

They're so full of ****, if Valdez's opponent woulda pissed dirty with the same stuff, there would be zero moralizing. He'd off the card, dropped from the rankings and suspended from competition. Valdez is a popular champion coming off a big win so they let him do whatever they want. What a joke.

This is the same WBC that people defend on here with their lives, spinning so much they are dizzy. They took away Whyte’s mandatory shot without an hearing, Valdez here failed VADA own rules and regulations.

I don’t care if it was out of competition, VADA gives you a form to list whatever you take. Now the WBC have thrown their own drug testing protocol (VADA) under the bus to go with WADA. Honestly they are the worse sanctioning body out there, the same organisation that was sending Casemiro’s drug testing form via WhatsApp to VADA like they are part of Team Casemiro.
