He has another American fan in me, first saw him against Jono last August and was drawn to his style and class in the ring. Maxi's not blessed with athletic gifts but he's well schooled and disciplined in the ring.

He comes off as a decent, humble guy and he's been on a helluva run. I'm glad he can cash in a bit during the twilight of his career.

His fight against Impacto was the reason for me being excited to watch that card. I thought Saffron was going to overwhelm him with power and aggression. Maxi proved his class and mettle tho.

Firstly congratulations to Maxi on a stunning perfomance last Saturday & now on to a clash with Devon Haney.
Due to lack of interest from the likes of Teo & QueenRy Devon's career seems to be stalling a bit & thus must be hitting him in the pocket. Therefore a Haney/Hughes showdown in the UK makes perfect sense & sells a lot of tickets in Leeds. The only problem I see is that Maxi hasn't got a top 15 ranking with the WBC & I very much doubt the IBO title counts as a unification, so it's all down to Fa$t £ddie's power of persuation with Mauricio.

Sad to see Haney just shut out of all meaningful fights and fights at local British domestic level are probable future fights for him. Just sad to see this waste of talent since being on the matchroom payroll
