Being old isn't an excuse. Ugas was 35, that's the same age Pac was when his fans were claiming he was washed up. So Pac lost to another to a fighter who was also washed. It balances out. And yes it does hurt his resume. He's lost to mediocre fighters in Horn and Ugas now.

I think the only active fighter who could have beaten Pac and there wouldn't be a 'BUT' bout it is Crawford, and that is because his legion of man fans dont hold him accountable or to the same standards as other fighters either just like Pac fans.

This exactly, since when has anyone gotten credit for beating Pac? There's an excuse for every single one of his losses. All 8.

That said, usually streaks are what determines an old fighter's usefulness. Used to be, you know, you had to at least have a good streak going to be considered prime. Now you just need a win or two over a decent name and you're a prime fighter, or at least still top caliber.

being old isn't an excuse? lmaoooo. at what sport. chess? you guys like to say whatever it's hilarious. Pac at 35 was still a beast, but it was obvious he's a step behind from his prime. He fought floyd at 35. and floyd was 37. Fans only wanted them to fight during their absolute primes, you can't beat a guy at Floyd's level if you're anything less than your best version.

Now reverse urgas and pacquiao's age and let's here you say old isn't an excuse. 43 is super old when you have a style like pacman.

Floyd fans never make angry. They either make me laugh or confused like this post.
Pac beat a past prime barrera according to Floyd fans as barrera had been in wars? Trying to discredit win even though barrera coming off impressive winning streak and was barely 30 years old. Think that says it all when on the subject of whether Floyd fans can ever be truly objective!
Flpoyds win over pac certainly don't count for much with home advantage, and no rematch and all controversies around fight. True, Floyd don't need to rematch but just don't go around boasting of the win and how good a win it was with such a big aster ix next to win then..
Reality is you don't get much credit for beating a past prime pac. You get opportunity to have a legend in resume what more do you want.......geez?

Bob Arum is the real star here, he was the real reason we didn’t see Manny Vs May, let’s be real they both could have wanted it but Bob would have always Blocked it. He knows how good Floyd was and he didn’t want Floyd to cut his cash cow. Floyd was a Huge threat.

But what Bob did instead was to Make pac fight Mayweather opponents after may and build up appearances that Floyd is scared “coward” which made him so much money.

in terms of promotion: Manny Before Hatton is all his merit, but after was piggyback of Floyd.

as a fan, ive been rallying for his retirement since getting push around by horny. Thurman win was really that impressive for me and he should've rode off the sunset with it.
