Well, either he performs similar to Saunders, or he's much better, and is slicker than Lara, closer to Mayweather.

He hasn't fought a high level of opposition, but he's very slick, from what we've seen.

I think Plant is a more difficult opponent to figure out than Benavidez. Canelo has a tough puzzle to solve. Hope the fight happens this year, no covid positives and injuries etc.

You have said about the best quote I have seen, Plant the slickest white fighter boxing now, with fast hands and feet plus he’s a pretty puncher. I think he gets hit a bit too much but very solid dude.

Once again most people don’t know **** about boxing, the **** Canelo does to most of those slow single punch opponents who are scared after the first counter punch, won’t work against Plant. The thing is Plant can be touched and bruised and Canelo has heavy hands and is a very solid body puncher so it’s about how do you respond. I favor Plant with speed and combination punching and better movements but Canelo has experience, power, better counter puncher and aggressiveness so Plant better have much better fortitude in order to pull off the upset, but I don’t think it’s a walk I. The park for either fighter. Benavidez is to be feared!

BJS is a better slick boxer than plant. Canelo is going to walk through plant like a doorway. He doesn’t have the jab to dissuade canelo from aggressively closing the distance for exchanges.

Idk why people are still curious about whether canelo can handle movers based on a fight that took place 7 years ago. This undisputed fight is nothing more than a formality. Only interested in fights with Bivol, beterbiev or benevidez

What many don’t understand is why boxers do mitt work, or see how elites respond on the mitts. Twitch, intuition, ring IQ is what separates elites from non elites. Plant May look nice against non elites or no-names, and that’s because they’re not intuitive counter punchers or know what’s happening in those seconds. Whatever you like from Plant, expect a fighter like Canelo to read it at close range and counter. That’s when Plant feels that power and the game changes.

Agreed. But do you really think he:

A) Will stick with that throughout the fight (bound to get a lil gutsy and test his mettle)
B) Can stick with that for 12 full rounds (thats a long time to keep on the backfoot & bouncy)
C) Would still be able to earn a decision doing that?

With the right Gameplan, absolutely Plant can win

Of course I favor Canelo but this is boxing, anything can happen in that ring. Most was just writing off Ugas, people also was literally laughing at Teofimo and said he had NO CHANCE vs Loma! This is why the fights are MADE! Lets see how things play out, I think Canelo wins BUT I think Plant will earn his respect and make it a tough fight
