Shouldn't both Cotto and Mayweather be held to the same standards? Cotto blocked the fight from happening at 147 as well, because as mentioned before, Arum said that he would never put Cotto in the ring with a business man after Cotto barely squeaked by Mosley. And then he takes a fight that builds zero interest in the build up to it by fighting Alfonzo Gomez. That fight along with the Margarito-Cintron fight was the lowest rated HBO WCB telecast in the history of HBO's existence..
Can we agree that Floyd Mayweather is scared of Cotto?

Once Cotto destroys Pacquiao and he opts to fight Pacquiao instead of the winner. What will his excuses be for choosing to pursue a fight with Pacquiao and not the man who just defeated the very temporary #1 P4P? Can it be said once and for all that Floyd is scurred of the big bad Rican?

Baldomir was more of a REAL champ than Cotto or Margo who won their belts in Vacant title bouts....(not saying Baldo could beat either)......

Floyd was at a different point in his career. He would have fought him at 140
if it meant something, but we saw Cotto strugle in what would ve amounted to tune ups for Floyd. Floyd was going for the money. Besides if youre honest, Cotto didnt learn to box until he fought Mosley.Comment

Cotto and Floyd had an opportunity to fight just like Mosley and Floyd did too. You can blame Oscar wanting Floyd 1st, or Arum and Floyd not being able to work together, the excuses are endless.
But I don't think Floyd is literally scared of any fighter, but i do know that he sees certain fighters as risks that won't turn into a reward like say a fight with Pacquiao would if it happened today. But what if Pacquiao is beaten Nov 14th? Does that make Floyd vs Cotto then much more intriguing?
Floyd's had some of the best management in recent Boxing history. His fans look at it as great business moves, while Boxing fans look at it as ducking. You'll never be able to convince either side...Comment
