How much would Porter make fighting Ortiz or Thurman again??
how is 40% meaningless? The sanctioning body sets a bid date, every promoter can bid if they want to, and highest bid wins, Bid gets split 60% to Crawford, and 40% to Porter. Winning promoter has usually 90 days to stage the fight.

So if PBC bids $5 million, Bud gets $3 million, Porter gets $2 million.

Not sure what you aren't understanding?

Porter would do it if he could he has no say after he signed that haymon slave contract.

I understand fine. You just made up a number. The real number may be bigger or smaller than your fictional number. Do you understand that 34 year old Porter might be offered more for a fight with someone like Ortiz or Thurman and If he did take a more lucrative option, how is that a duck?

I think it would be different if beating Crawford set up some really big fight but having already lost to Spence, I'm not seeing that rematch as particularly huge. The Thurman rematch would be there, as would a fight with Ortiz but those fights are there already anyway.

Porter hasn't been talking about wanting to fight Ortiz or Thurman again though he has been talking about wanting to fight Crawford and out of those 3 names only one of them owns a world title.

Well you know I'm fairly anti PBC but these guys are jumping on nothing. When I saw this heading I presumed Porter or his dad had made some statement but there is nothing. No wonder you get annoyed.

But don't get me wrong, 1st sniff of a Porter duck and I'm guna be all over it.

The ONLY thing I really hate about this sport is all the flaming hoops that people have to jump through to get the top fights people want.

                Different promotions.

                Different networks.

Petty string pullers in promotional companies who hate others and derail things.

                Unworthy mandatories.

Sometimes, I am actually shocked when a fight that is interesting comes together. This Crawford/Porter thing has been simmering for a couple months now. That it HASN'T fallen apart officially yet has me in awe. I believe simply that if it will actually happen, it probably will happen soon. If it does not, I will be too irritated to really care whose fault it is. I blame the systems. They are all flawed. These kinds of fights should happen more often than fall apart. Not the other way around.

No just Shane, one punch and a few other ani haymon dudes speculation and trolling.

They want a duck more than they want a fight because hating on pbc is what they have an account for.

Where does the idea of Porter being a cherry picker come from? He's fought a lot of top welterweights

It’s not like a purse bid is going to get big offers. Despite a P4P status Crawford doesn’t draw and Porter won’t be a strong B side. This fight is worthy of a late Friday night ESPN+ card. Not a PPV worthy fight. Would do worse than Crawford/Khan.
