That's the fight. Some people say it's too soon and that it will be a big fight down the road, but Ennis wants a title shot against Spence, while Ortiz wants a title shot against Crawford. The champs have bigger fish to fry in 2022 (like unifications against each other and Pacquiao).

Imagine Ennis-Ortiz on the same card as Spence-Crawford, with the winners facing each other. That's what boxing needs.

This was a great fight. It was the first time Vergil had ever experienced any type of adversity in a prizefight before.

I thought he displayed great poise, calmness and composure under pressure. In addition, to the true grit and determination to bite down and dig deep in order to wrestle victory out of the jaws of the defeat.

He exhibited the heart of a true champion tonight and I couldn't have been more proud of him.

OK.....one thing I saw in the fight is that Ortiz came back nicely....however....he should stay away from Terence Crawford.....there is NO WAY Bud lets him live after hurting him like Mean Machine did.....Ortiz needs several more fights imo before he can assure himself of at least surviving against a fighter like Crawford. If Crawford hurts him early like that Ortiz is gonna be in a bodybag...and these are simply facts.

I agree....Ortiz has great tenacity.....great will to fight.....great poise and speed......just not great skills. I don't know about Ennis...but Crawford murders him and Spence bodybags him literally.

If the kid wants fo fight Crawford then he shouldn't be turned away, because God knows that Crawford's resume at 147 sucks. He should be thanking his lucky stars that a name fighter is actually running towards the smoke.

Good point tbf. Crawford may start declining soon.

Crawford will up his game though I think. Like he did against Postol. I don’t think he’d approach Ortiz like he did Kavaliauskas for example.
