    It's it really this bad?

Regis Prograis vs Mikey Garcia can't even be made?

Question is why is PBC not jumping on this fight?
Mikey, and I presume Regis, are on a fight by fight basis with Hearn.

Aren’t they both free agents now? Why are you asking about PBC making this fight if they aren’t pbc boxers?

Genrick no promoter is interested. Why are you only calling out pbc for this?

I would think you’d call everyone out since, as you posted, they can fight on any promoter’s card.

I hadn’t thought about this fight. If it comes, I will watch it.

Chickens are coming home to roost for Hearn for spending tons of money
and can't now make the same size of fights like Mikey vs Vargas.

When I first heard it mentioned I was pumped for Mikey vs Prograis.
Still wanna see it. But can't understand why it's not being made.
Do they demand too much money ?
Are promoters not trying to make it because both fighters are independent ?
Anybody got some insight on this ?

It says DAZN is tightening the boxing budget.

Haymon is trying to get a new deal with Fox or paramount according to reports.

Mikey has said he’ll never work with Bob again so espn is out.

Maybe it’s just a financial thing related to covid.

I believe both are free agents. Prograis made $850k for his fight against Redkach on Triller. Mikey made $7 million (I think) for his fight against Vargas on DAZN. DAZN made it clear via Hearn that they aren't spending like a drunken sailor anymore.

In a step up for both (compared to their most recent opponents), how much would they want to be paid? If they both demand to be free agents after the fight, is the required purse worth the revenue it would generate? A promoter might be willing to overpay if they are getting options for fights on the back end.

It's a business, if the numbers required to make it work don't make financial sense, it's not going to happen.

You answered your own question. Mikey wants nothing to do with Top Rank.
He has fought majority of his recent fights with PBC. He's still on his own.
Prograis is with Dibella who can deal with all promoters. So it all boils down
to which network/platform want this fight badly.
