Canelo doesnt need Haymon. Sure, he would PREFER to get a $40 mil guarantee, and not have to do any work on the promotion. But ultimately if he doesnt get his price, he will promote his next fight himself (against whomever), and distribute it on PPV himself. Haymon is a convenience, not a necessity.

Meanwhile, Haymon couldnt stage another $50 million event even if he put every one of his top 10 fighters on the same show.

Yes I have never heard of the last 4 guys nor Castano before the Charlo fight. As with many sports, the casuals are a big driver. There's a reason Fox is choosing not to renew their deal with PBC.
