Schaefer was working with Haymon which is why he made EVERY fighter contract short-term. Schaefer knew PBC was coming and he was jostling to join PBC or make his own promo company.

DLH sued and got a settlement AND a no competition clause which is why Schaefer has only recently rejoined the scene and is basically futile

I don’t really get the Haymon hate, I understand why people don’t like Hearn, Bob, Oscar etc cause they talk a lot of sh** in the media. Haymon on the other hand always remains professional and consistently makes good fights. I don’t really get how you can hate on the guy for doing his job.

People hate Haymon because of his business practices. He keeps fighters on his side of the street at all cost. He rarely works with other promotors to put on the fights that everyone wants to see. He's an isolationist. And this is why people don't like Haymon.
