The thing with boxing is fighters just can’t make a fight happen one of the fighters or both have to agree to fight . Wallin was trying to get the Martin fight but had little success. And Ortiz ? Good luck there he hasn’t fought a live body in 3 years . Maybe we’ll get a surprise and Whyte vs Ortiz will be made but if PBC is involved probably not .

Whyte vs Wallin would be an interesting matchup. Not sure if the Swede has enough power but he's big and a southpaw and could probably outbox Whyte for stretches.

Ortiz has been practically begging for a fight. No one wants to take the risk. He can make most any NON elite boxer look bad and thats just NOT good for POTENTIAL money makers.

Is he tho? While I think Ortiz has some skills, I'm not convinced he actually wants any of those fights. I get the vibe he (or possibly his handlers) don't want to risk his "bogeyman" status and are waiting for a big payday to fall in his lap. Regardless of the reasons, he or his team said no to the AJ fight and Ruiz said yes.

It's hard to really tell who is being avoided and who is doing the avoiding.

            Ortiz
            Whyte
            Martin
            Ruiz
            Wallin
            Hrgovic
            Joyce

All combinations between these guys are good. Add also Ajagba -Sanchez winner to that list.

I think hes good enought to make even someone who DOES beat him, look bad. Thats just not a risk big names take.

I guess you are talking about Wilder. Wilder's game isn't about looking good, it's about sparking people out...hes waiting for that one punch. Gerald Washington was boxing Wilder nicely before he was KO'd.

Ortiz has about 5 or so rounds of stamina and that's it. Watch his fight against Malik Scott and tell me that's a fighter people are afraid of getting into the ring with.
