Good! The injury doesn't sound as bad as it previously did. It's only a retinal tear. So he should be able seal that tear with laser treatment and make a full recovery in less than two weeks and resume his boxing career. Thank God! I know that Pac has to get paid but I wish that they could postpone this fight to a later date this year; if Manny Pacquiao agrees.Comment

Perhaps, you should ask that question to Al Haymon. He should postpone this card and push it back to a later date this year. However, he can't because he isn't a promoter. He doesn't have any promotional insurance to cover all of the losses and damages he would incur in the event that the card was postponed or canceled.Comment

No, it's different. Abner Mares had a detached retina. He was fighting with a detached retina for several years and never had it surgically repaired. Which cost him vision loss in his eye and subsequently ended his boxing career. Spence on the other hand just has a retinal tear which requires only two weeks of laser treatments and then he can successfully resume his boxing career again.Comment

There is no conspiracy here, Spence has a retina tear and needs surgery. No way he would be getting surgery on a healthy eye; he is injured, simple as that. He wanted this fight and will want to reschedule, assuming Ugas doesn't alter the plans.Last edited by richardt; 08-10-2021, 06:33 PM.Comment
