    Best "messy fighters"

I nominate Sakio Bika, God ugly to watch, not a lot of skill involved in his style but could make the best fighters in the sport look poor.

Shawn porter is another one, nowhere near elite but makes every fight he's in a messy affair.

    Emanuel Augustus.
Later Bhop was messy as far as the clinch and punches to the thigh and back of the head. ( usually on the opposite side of the ref )
    John Ruiz was messy
Wlads fight with Povetkin was one of the messiest I’ve seen.
    Horn is messy
Theres gotta be a lot out there. Just to be messy and somewhat known has to mean you are kind of surprisingly effective.

Matt skelton was a fairly good spoiler, massively over achieved for a kickboxer. Challenged for a world title and won domestic titles

Was very hard to look good against him , before he was over the hill anyway.

Hughie Fury. Nobody looks good beating him.

Bernard Hopkins could make many a fight ugly and he almost always won. I remember his fights with Antwun Echols being some wrestling matches and I think he nearly broke Kid Dynamite's arm in one of them.

Kabary Salem is another one that comes to mind, although he was more dirty than messy. Dude used his head like a battering ram.

I hated watching this guy fight but he has some decent wins...John "The Quiet Man" Ruiz. He would throw a couple jabs and fall into his opponent and begin to clutch grab and wrestle until the ref separated him and his opponent so he could begin the process over again.

I know there are others but I can't think of them at the moment.

Idk.... He was unorthodox but he fought with a rythim. Idk if he should be labeled messy.

If we have to merely name messy fighters, there's a lot of them to remember.

However, if we must pick a fighter who got good results by being messy, as per the thread's title, then a strong contender would have to be Italy's Gianfranco Rosi. Always horrible to watch, yet he managed to get some belts against mostly forgettable opposition. Was beaten every time he stepped up in level, but nevertheless he achieved a lot with his disgusting style.

Another that comes to mind is Carlos Maussa, the Colombian who faced Cotto, Hatton and Ortiz, and was knocked out by all of them. He managed to beat Vivian Harris, though... he wanted to hit Harris some more after the latter was already out on the canvas, go rewatch the fight.
