I don't understand why if Canelo started his own company years ago, isn't promoting the fight himself.
Isn't Canelo worth the $40 mil and gets to also keep the middle men commissions paid.

I’ve noticed that. Next to none of the groupie support comes from Mexico. It comes from Mexican American fans who think that defending canelo makes them more like actual Mexicans, and from UK fans which I find bizarre.

Caleb plant needs to stfu he waited 10 months to fight canelo, when he could have fought benavidez or chudinov or dirrell but he is waiting for a payday, on top of all that he hurt is hand his last fight, so canelo is right in asking for a guaranteed amount if he pulls out.

Who is the source of all these multiple reports? It sounds like -- and I could be wrong -- that the sole source is Plant. Canelo's side haven't commented on it. So we get Plant's side of the story. And --shock, horror -- it paints Plant as the reasonable guy and Canelo as the diva. I'm guessing there is a little more to it than that.

It does sound like the $ amount was sound but I will keep an open mind until there is objective information available.

Coppinger reported it weeks ago. You want his source you ask him but Coppinger is a respected boxing journalist. I have no reason to doubt him and Canelo’s side has been silent. Chris Mannix and Lance Pugmire both said on Mannix’s podcast that they have reached out to Eddie Reynoso multiple times and have gotten no response. And Mannix would never waste an opportunity to put the blame on Plant and the PBC if he could.

Plant should be counting his blessings that he’s still in the running to get that canelo payday. We could all be celebrating a bivol fight right about now and what would he do? Try to sit on that belt in hopes the main man every cares to look in his direction again. And by sitting I mean fighting more bums or not fighting at all for another year.
