Is is safe to say DAZN signing Golovkin did nothing for the sport of boxing?

It sure has been the biggest disappointment of recent years in boxing. My entire opinion of GGG has soured since he signed with DAZN. It's clear he doesn't want to be an active boxer anymore - just hoping to make some easy money and stay safe in case the Canelo trilogy ever offers itself. I'd still like the trilogy fight to happen, but what I didn't expect a few years ago is that I would now be rooting for a Canelo victory.

GGG was signed to the type of deal he was just so DAZN could get the trilogy fight with Canelo. That obviously hasn't happened so but default they did not get what they were looking for. Not sure what the sport of boxing has anything to do with their decision. They haven't been getting a return on their investment that they were looking for.. That's what they care about, not the sport of boxing.

That was right after dismantling Szeremeta. What has happened to that?
I mean, this guy's sense of entitlement is amazing.

It's been a terrible deal for DAZN. And has done nothing at all to advance the sport of boxing.
So it was an abysmal failure on both of those counts.
Turned out great for Golovkin, though. He's basically stealing money.

Biggest joke was he brought remnants of Loeffler with him. It was Loeffler who picked Steve Rolls.
Granting that Glovkin needed company to guide him (and you could say DAZN) through the terms
and conditions of the contract, first fight with DAZN, and all, but why is Loeffler still able to dictate
who he fights next? And the company that actually pays him can't do anything?

Earning $15 million for the Rolls fight, why would he need the Canelo fight?

What deal did DAZN really succeeded in? I don't think Canelo's contract with them was a success either. I wouldn't single out GGG. It was amateur hour over there. Maybe Hearn and his fighters benefited the most from it.

Yes, he has become one of boxing's biggest busts in the sport today by signing with DAZN. He cherry picks weak and inferior opponents. Any fighter who is a potential threat to him he avoids. He is overrated and doesn't belong on top of any boxing's Pound 4 Pound list.
