Welterweight is stacked but I just wish that the top names would fight each other more often.

Out of all them, I have to say that Crawford is the most impressive, he can compete with the 80's golden era WW.

If these WW weren't strong then they wouldn't be pfp rated, unless your saying all the other divisions are weak also, and that's enabled weak WW in spence and bud to creep into top 10

We'll find out soon on Aug 21 Errol vs manny

if today's best WW beats a 42 year old bad, it says this era good enough

          It's a very strong era

and that's why Pacman will be the GOAT, if he beats Spence and Crawford at his age

It is still one of the strongest divisions in the sport but? Compared to recent era's of that division, it is not very strong.

The Welter Weight and Heavyweight Divisions are the best divisions currently today in the sport.

Point is, it's hard to say how strong it is, because they just haven't fought one another. It might be the greatest WW division ever, but we'd never know
He barely beat Clottey. Paul Williams whooped his ass. He beat Cotto but that win will always have an asterik. By the time he fought Pac he wasn't even the boogeyman anymore.

                It’s not very good.

The division is ruled by a lightweight, a drunk, a 50 year old flyweight and a guy who’s like 22-7.

                Thats not a good division.

If he beats spence he's goat. Not realistic for pac to have to take 3 unbeaten W W kings. S RR wasn't doing it so don't see why pac would need to.

Pac-Spence will go a long way to answering this question. In the past the young lion beats the old lion. Pac beat the young lion two years ago in Thurman. This whole generations reputation lies on the winner of this fight. If Pac wins this is probably the weakest era ever. If Spence wins, then we would need to see the outcome of Spence-Crawford to determine how strong it is.

Everyone who beat clottey barely beat clottey

even prime pac didn't beat down clottey

Clottey is one of those guys that are so good to just barely lose

Pretty much a taller, bigger more polished porter in that regard
