Funny, Margarito never had 1 single impressive performance after he was caught with plaster hand wraps. Funny how that worked out.

Margarito probably beats porter and Garcia and crawford and them.
Margarito was a joke who cheated and robbed Cotto of an even more brilliant career than what he already had. Margarito gets SONNED by Crawford

      He didn't cheat cotto.

He tried to cheat Mosley and got caught.

      Difference.

Cotto fans just wanna pretend marg cheated cotto because cotto got his ass whooped.

cotto-marg 2 looked exactly like the 1st fight except pac had broken marg face and caused the 2nd fight to be stopped.

I wouldn’t go that far. And are you going to hold one bad performance against someone’s entire body of work?

Holyfield got outclassed by Lewis. Isn’t he across the board considered an ATG, by virtually everyone?

And again I never said Porter is an ATG. On the biggest stage, he’s never been dominate at the highest level. He’s been competitive, which is still saying something about where we should place him in history.

If he was outclassing guys and making it a wipeout at the highest level, then I’d consider him an ATG, but he hasn’t done that. Doesn’t change the fact that he’s a top welterweight of this era and I feel is 1 or 2 big wins away from HOF. His career isn’t over yet.

I mean say what you want about his hands and what he did to them, but you have to admit, the guy could just walk through anything and keep going. Doesn’t make him great or anything, but I think you can hit the guy across the head with a sledgehammer, and he would smile and laugh at you. The sh#t’s scary.

            Holyfield wasn’t outclassed by Lewis.

The second fight was incredibly close and there were members of the press that scored the fight for Holyfield.

The first fight should have gone to Lewis but ended in a draw.

Also, prior to the Lewis fight, Evander Holyfield was a three-time heavyweight champion, something only Muhammad Ali had accomplished.

He was also a two time lineal heavyweight champion and was, at the time, one of four men in history to accomplish that feat.

So please, don’t equate Evander Holyfield to Shawn Porter.

Shawn Porter won a title from Devon Alexander and defended it once before losing it in a wide loss. He then won a vacant title via robbery decision and lost it immediately.

Evander Holyfield beat Rid**** Bowe, Mike Tyson, Michael Moorer, George Foreman, etc. etc. etc.

In this thread, we have equated Shawn Porter to:

Pernell Whitaker, Roberto Duran, Marvin Hagler, Winky Wright and Evander Holyfield.

              PBC fans are amazingly ******.

I wasn’t equating Porter to Holyfield in anyway. I was simply using Holyfield as an example. Don’t put words in my mouth.

So if a boxer has a bad night, he can’t be considered HOF? Where do you rank Porter? Do you think he is a “bum” or a “gatekeeper?”

                I’m just curious.

Porter’s bout vs Danny Garcia was a robbery????? It was a close fight. By the very definition, a close fight cannot be a robbery.

Porter is a top 10 welterweight. That’s all he is.

My apologies, I was referring to the Yordenis Ugas fight which Ugas clearly won.
