Bivol isn't a very big guy as Light-Heavies go. I don't think he would have that hard a time making 168. Of course it is a better fight at 175, but at either weight class, Bivol has advantages in reach, speed, and movement. So yeah, it is a great fight at either weight.

He isn't very big neither is he small, he is a well proportioned LHW.

How can you say that when you've never seen him fight at 168?
A weight he likely hasn't been at since a teenager.
We've not seen him at 168 to judge his speed or anything but what we do have is history of others in similar situations and common sense and it tells us these type of things don't go well and are dangerous. Cutting weight is not ideal anyway nevermind cutting a further 7lbs, a full half a stone more than your body, your organs, brain etc is used to.

He'll be a corpse at 168 regardless what him or his team might think it will certainly affect his strength, punch resistance, ability to recover, processing speed and who knows what else.

Bivol is just thinking about the money here. Can’t blame him, but it’s not really a worthwhile fight at 168.

Have this fight late October at 168 with proper drug testing and give Bivol time to cut the weight properly, starting as soon as it's agreed to, or have it at the full lightheavy in September, no catchweights to drain Bivol. If Kovalev was OK at 175, Bivol should be too. Otherwise, asterisks will follow Canelo again like his 155 days.

I don't know why but I think Bivol might be even better at supermiddle, given enough time.

Drug testing for the whole period should be a condition.

I'd have liked Beterbiev better at 175 but Canelo would never approve of that. I doubt he fights Bivol in September at 175 either. Let's see what Canelo and Hearn have to say.

              War Bivol!

If it happens in September at the full lightheavy or late October at 168, we can bet $100 or as many points as you want. I got Bivol.

Anyone would do it for 10 mil. He shouldn't do it for anything less. Bivol is the replacement!

Any replacement should get 10 mil or no fight. It was Canelo's condition.

168 makes no sense. Great fight if made at 175 for Bivol's belt.

I like Canelo, for the most part, but it would not surprise me if we get some weird catch weight/hydration clause that will fck things up. I mean 169 with a rehydration clause and the LHW belt on the line.
