Comments Thread For: Sparring Partner Gives Take on Power, Skills of Joshua, Wilder

German amateur who reckons he moves like prime Ali and is so good he didn't get really hit by either of them... gives a view of their power.

      Yeah, I'll pass.

Haha, he lost me with his Ali take as well. His supposed defensive prowess allowed him to not actually say who he thought hit harder (in sparring). Basically, his take is: AJ more technically sound with more punches in his arsenal and Wilder more explosive. Nothing groundbreaking there.

What a ridiculous story about a guy who has 11 amateur fights and seems to be a complete braggart.

The Ali comparison got me too.

Nah Wilder definitely hits harder than any HW in the division. It’s the sole reason Wilder has been successful despite a limited skill set.

Long right hand itīs DW. Every other punch in the book, AJ. And I dont think the power behind DWs right hand is the problem for top HWs, itīs the speed and range.

Definitely going AJ Wilders punch stats were rigged years of fighting guys who hadn't won fights in when anyone else would be fighting for belts years avoiding Klitschko etc and any heavyweight not in the King/Haymon stable all to make his punch stats look better. Aj don't set himself to throw at maximum power which makes him less of a sitting duck.
I'd agree Wilder is the one that tries to fire at 100% of his power more often but as Fury proved that can be horribly flawed.
