    115-113 Castano

Really solid fight and one they need to run back later in the year.
I watched the fight three timed and that’s was exactly how I scored it round by round with an honestly unbiased mindset.

The second time I watched it, I did with a bias in Charlo’s favor and scored it a draw.

The third time I watched it, I did so with a bias in Castano’s favor and I scored it 9-3.

Fact is even with bias eye I could only see a draw, so with an honest unbiased mindset. The fight is a legit 7-5 Castano win.

After the outcome was read you can see the relief in Charlo’s face and the disbelief in Castano’s.

The thing is that Castano had just built up a big lead that he felt far more in control and than Charlo came on late to make it close...But that's all he did for me. I can definitely see a draw, and it wouldn't even take a person being biased, but I can't see him winning the fight.

7-5 Castano seems like the best card to me...And that's not just because that is how I scored the fight lol.

I wasn’t scoring the fight round by round, but overall, to me anyways, it felt like a pretty even fight. I have no issues with Castano slightly winning, Charlo slightly winning, or a draw.

In the 10th round, Charlo was battering Castano very good and was possibly a couple of good punches away from possibly getting a stoppage. He won that round big. In the 11th, Charlo came on strong and tried to go for the kill, but by middle of that round Castano rebounded and won the last minute of that round. 11th was a close round. The final round was very competitive and was prolly the most even in the fight.

IMO, the last two rounds which most people gave to Charlo, were more even and not as clear cut for Charlo. Charlo big in the tenth, went for the kill at the start of the 11th, but by the last minute of the round Castano came back and finished strong.

Overall, the rounds which Castano won which was 7 of the rounds, were more clear cut than than the 5 Charlo won.

              7-5 Castano

I gave Charlo the last 3 rounds. I was kinda tired (4.30am UK time) so will probably watch again.

Which is why I felt Castano won comfortably my scorecard would suggest it was a close fight.

Castano got off to an early start but Mell finished stronger. I probably would have given give a slight edge to Brian due to his work rate.

However, the fight could have gone either way. It wouldn't have made a difference because it was that close.

Jermell doesn't let his hands go enough. He is constantly trying to set up traps in order to counter you with his power punches. However, when he does that he is giving away too many rounds to the busier fighter.

In any case, I thought he had done enough to at least warrant a Draw because he did finish stronger down the stretch. He nearly had Castano out on his feet in rounds 10 and 11.

Charlo is a tidy fighter and nothing against him, he's good for the sport with his action style. But he got his **** pushed back tonight.
However, the single judge who had Castano winning only had him winning by a single point though; Which is indicative of how close this fight really was.

Even Steve Farhood; Showtime's unofficial judge had the fight dead even at 114-114. He was spot on with at least two of the three official judges who scored the fight a Draw.

I had it 7-5 forCastano. A draw would be perfectly understandable.
