I would love to say I had Charlo winning that 117-111 but master Al don't want to pay me to say it so I will be honest and say Castano won that fight quite clearly.

7 rounds to 5 and a couple of those 5 really could of gone to Castano but gave them to Charlo cuz, well cuz he was always going to get the nod in a swing round.

Was this like the Gonzalez-Estrada fight where people said it was close, but 98% had Gonzalez winning? In that link everyone bar 1 (draw) has Castano winning thus far.

I had it 114-114. I thought two of the cards were fair but the 117-111 was an absolute disgrace.

            Absolute disgrace is right.

Thought the two cards were fair but lawd the 117-111 was a terrible card.

Most gave the 12th to Charlo but on initial watch I gave it to Castano. Which six rounds did you score for Charlo?

I dont do that scoring sht but Castano showed more affective aggression and landed more. At the end he was slightly ahead.

Castano should have got the nod but Draw was acceptable due to circumstances.

116-112 Castano, could make a case for 115-113. Most rounds, while competitive, were pretty clear imo

I can’t remember the exact 6 but I definitely gave him the 2nd and then the 10th, 11th, 12th. I also gave him two more middle rounds either 4 and 5 or 5 and 6. I definitely had it level after 6. Then gave Castano 7,8 and 9 and Charlo 10, 11 and 12.

116-115 Charlo. 5-4 in rounds, with three rounds 10-10 even (Rounds 1, 4 and 12).

Agreed about the disgraceful 117-111 card, horrendous stuff. A draw is almost perfect, I would have accepted a Castano win with an eyebrow raised, but it would not have been a scandal.

I think most people desperately wanted Castano to win because of the general hate for Charlo (I myself don't like the guy, to be honest).

However, in all fairness, Castano fought his heart out, but several of his flurries (especially in the first half) were "Oscar De La Hoya flurries". Namely, quick combinations where one punch lands and six miss, as the audience goes OOOH! AAAH!... and the unfocused observer considers all that as "points scored".

Got it, yeah I think Castano won some of his rounds more clear but Charlo started to chip away late.

At the end, I just feel like Castano built up too big of a lead despite Charlo's late surge.
