An illegal shot to the head from Manny when JMM was down caused him to stay a bit longer on the canvas. IMO the 10-7 round was a correct scoring as that knockdown shouldn't have counted because of that.

An argument can be made that JMM was holding onto the ropes with his right hand prompting Pacquiao to continue punching to make sure he was down. Either that or Pacquiao was trigger happy with his punches.

most full counts are in fact more than 10 seconds since the ref has to send the other fighter to a neutral corner first, also some refs count slow which isnt on the fighter. you cant say he got KOd when hes listening to the ref, he was concious the whole time he was down so he probably couldve gotten up if he needed to.

finally it should be mentioned that pac was still hitting him after the first picture was taken, in other words hitting him while down. pac should be happy he didnt get any points deducted.

Didn't Pacquiao actually hit Marquez again after Marquez touched down? I might be mis-remembering, but that might have something to do with a slightly delayed count.

Is this thread serious? Remember, this is JMM we're talkin about. He gets any benefit of the doubt. He couldve been down for 15 seconds and it wouldnt matter, as long as he's in the ring it counts as a win. Losses to Manny, Chris John are automatically chalked up as wins. Dont listen to the ref haters
