High profile for a niche sport but not a star.

This is a niche sport after all and his profile is high.

It's right in line of expectations. I wouldn't say this fight exceeded it. When it was first made you had threads made of people talking about how it will tank (no pun intended) and how no one will buy it, yet it did around the same, if not better than the LSC fight.

tank is not a typical loud mouth, hes a fairly reserved character as far as i can see which i think is good, he has to let his fists do the talking & he also talks sense the times ive seen him talk & i think to become a star he needs to win in good fashion or KO people like teo loma, if he could ko both in huge fights he may make that leap up, if he wins with a dodgy decision somehow he could still be a star i guess, lots of stars have dodgy wins on their records

Why not? America is a big country with lots of ppl. Mike Tyson is in his 50's and retired yet pulled over a million against RJJ. We can't say the market isn't there.

Meeting expectations is what the promoters want to see.

Not disagreeing as the live gate should surpass the last time he was out in Atlanta but I was just saying I don't think this fight exceeded expectations or anything. They knew what kind of numbers Tank could do and the track he's on.

As long as SHO/Mayweather aren't losing money on Davis' fights, then they're gonna keep yelling that he's a star. As long as they keep his guarantee low enough, I can see this PPV experiment continuing.

I don't think he is a huge star but has a big following. He needs some high profile wins.
