No way he’d take that- not that he should either, but he’s turned down Jermell and Korobov in the past based on purse demands. Andrade wants heavily compensating for a tough or risky fight.

Didn’t he get like 1.5m for fighting Keeler. I assume he’d want around 3m for GGG. I think DAZN could pay that too if they really wanted to make the fight.

Possibly… but isn’t he planning on fighting in August anyway. Against Falcao or somebody like that.

I actually think GGG knocks Andrade out, I don’t think it’s that difficult a fight for him tbh. Providing he’s already in camp I think he could deal with Andrade and still be ready to face Murata in December.

It’s also “Unfair” that Andrade has made millions of dollars fighting bums while guys in the lower weight classes put on FOTY battles for 200k, but it is what it is and “fair” has nothing to do with it.

Golovkin and Canelo have bigger and better options and that’s where they’re gonna go. They don’t care about his title, they have plenty. Fair doesn’t come into play. There’s a better chance of the Charlo fight getting made as Charlo flush with options and isn’t as big a draw, but if PBC is gonna keep paying him to fight nobodies Andrade is going to have to decided to make a move up or stay in obscurity.

It'd be nice if some of these guys shared your confidence

I don’t follow fighter’s purses too closely, however I do believe in negotiating for whatever you think is fair and my point is that both sides should be working to make the best fights happen.

As for Andrade specifically, he has to decide whether he is content with being the A-side against B-level opponents, or if he is willing to sacrifice to get an elite opponent. Besides that it’s up to DAZN to work with said elite opponents (like GGG) to make the fight a reality.

I could agree if you said that Andrade should move to 168, especially since that’s where Canelo the cash cow is campaigning.

I don’t think that the difference in purses for certain weight classes is unfair because that has to do with market value. I’m simply saying that if none of the other top guys at 160-168 are expected to face Beterbiev at 175 then Andrade shouldn’t either.

Long story short, I’m onboard with Andrade possibility moving to 168 for additional opportunities but not necessarily 175.

I like Andrade. He’s one of my favourite boxing personalities. Would be nice to see him against GGG.

I just see GGG timing him. Although I wouldn’t rule out Andrade winning, he’s definitely a big underdog in that fight IMO.
