Well this should be an interesting matchup. Ortiz fans already have him ranked as an all time great despite not facing legit competition yet.

Because it's different for an up and coming contender to fight him than it is for a p4p fighter

I'm assuming golden boy wont leave dazn? They put out decent cards and also match their prospects fairly tough lately.
thats something you dont do if the contract is running out.

I hope that's the case because thriller is a circus club.

Lopez's triller date is starting to populate. Will triller postpone it again or cancel it altogether? Spence-Pacman and now this fight so far. DAZN might have something planned too. Busy week.

I like this matchup. Will serve as a yardstick for whether Ortiz is as good as Golden Boy claim. Decent progression in his level of opponents.

Ennis and Ortiz could start to make the 147 landscape a lot more interesting if they keep upping the level of opponent they are taking on.

Word is that Lopez-Kambosos will get pushed back to September and possibly packaged with Oscar's exhibition. Makes sense for a number of reasons - most importantly, Lopez gets proper time to recover from COVID and get back into fighting shape.
Pac-Spence is Aug. 21. Other fights on Aug 14 are Donaire-Casimero (Showtime) and possibly Joshua Franco-Andrew Moloney III (ESPN platform)

Kava pizzed the Craw off, but didn't show much else. He beat Avensian, that's top of the line Euro level, so he's a big test. Ortiz will have to figure him out and even if Ortiz gets a KO, I'm not saying Kava has no chance, but will Ortiz get lumped up? Will he eat a lot of leather in the process?

Yup maybe not close close friends but they had a good relationship and mean machine used to come to the gym all the time and would always come when robert called when he needed sparring. So I am positive Robert Garcia dont relish the role but will do his job.
