    That you C.J Ross? lol
Sure he gave a very inexperienced, raw Lopez his first real gut check but there was no doubt who won.
Nakatani probably won 2 rounds, 3 if you're being very generous.

Keep your opinion. The only way to settle this is some long talk and a rd-by-rd. You can go there if you want. Just know plenty of people had Nakatani winning or the fight a toss up on the night, people just don’t care enough about a nobody and like always these fights get wider when one guy goes onto accomplish bigger things. People will only return to review that fight if Nakatani manages something himself, like beating Lomachenko.

Nakatani was undefeated when he gave Lopez a very difficult, close fight. I would say it was the most physically grueling fight Teo had had thus far. He couldn't bully the Japanese fighter and was clearly frustrated with his performance afterwards. Nakatani then brutally stops Verdejo, a former Olympian who showed promise and had some decent wins.

Loma is coming off a loss and he chose Nakatani because he wants to beat him more convincingly than Lopez. He also chose Nakatani because the Japanese fighter doesn't have the best speed or defense. Nakatani does pose a threat because he keeps coming, keeps throwing and will try to break you before you break him.

Nakatani is not elite, however he is good.

He’s a solid appointment for Loma coming off a loss. I don’t see the problem here.

Lol @ 2rds. Thanks for the opinion. But I disagree. Anyway, this fight is very solid for a guy coming off surgery.

Problem is the OP simply doesn’t like Loma.

Eh, nah. Linares is a better win.

I'd get if people said Naktani is big, has an engine and like all Japanese fighters seems to be made of steel and it was a decent enough tune up considering Loma hasn't fought in a while and had surgery.

My issue is people acting like he is a really good fighter all of a sudden.
If people said it when he gave Lopez a gut check or directly after beating Verdejo that he maybe underrated or so, I'd get it but it just seems to me like previous opponents of Loma's he is getting elevated in order to merit the hype they have placed on Loma.

If say Crawford or Floyd or someone else was fighting this type of opponent, nobody would say it was anything other than a horrendous mismatch & give them no credit.
To me, from where I am sat its double standards.

If Crawford fights someone like this I call it for what it is & I'll do the same with Loma or anyone else I class as an elite fighter taking on this sort of opposition. Its not good enough.

I don’t think anyone is arguing that he’s done anything to be excited about.

I think the argument is that he’s a dangerous opponent for Lomachenko.

He’s in his prime, tall, has a six inch reach advantage in the fight and arguably did as well against Teofimo Lopez as Lomachenko did.

If you combine that with the fact that Lomachenko hasn’t really done that well at 135, it’s a dangerous fight.
