Munguia got a KO in 2, Charlo got touched up and went the distance. Even though he is considerable larger than Montiel. Not a good look, but defend him all you want. You and the other PBC die-hards are the only ones trying to run damage control right now.

No one is defending anything. I made similar comments during and after the fight. You made a post about leftovers. I asked a question in response, because Munguia beat montiel at 147 and this fight was at 160. Instead of just posting, "yes it was at 147". you've gone on some dumb ass rant.

What happens at 147 has no bearing on what happens at 160. During the fight, bernstein explained why he got KTFO by Munguia and how he no longer was doing that in this fight. So your point about leftovers was just dumb.

Charlo started out strong and wanted to get Montiel out of there, but that ended up hurting him in the 2nd half of the fight. I don't know if the weight was hard to make or if he just threw too many punches, but he clearly got tired and was getting hit with some clean shots. His chin is great but he did have to retreat after some body shots...Second fight in a row. Something to pay attention to going forward. Definitely not Thurman in that regard, but in 2nd half of fights lately he's needed a round or so to get it together.

We need that GGG fight badly. I've been saying it for damn near three years, but that is FOTY guaranteed! Charlo will have to be better than what he was Saturday night, but lawd that fight would be a ****er.

The Munguia fight would also be good. GBP needs to try get Munguia as the mandatory for that fight. The GGG fight isn't happening for either fighter so it is Munguia, Andrade or move up to 168. And for Charlo, honestly it is probably time to go up. His performances aren't going to be as good at 160 with him having trouble cutting weight and he is going to continue to gas late in fights...I think the same can be said about Andrade as he had some shaky moments vs Williams as well. Both need to just move up now at 168.

Sounds like a double standard, right? Lol
I'll shoot GGG some bail on this. I think he knew what to do but was and is physically at a point where the body can't follow the mind.

I agree. I think he could use a new trainer. He is susceptible to both the left upper cut and shots to the body.

He would beat Munguia. I don't think he is ready. Personally, i don't believe that Jaime wants that smoke with Jermall Charlo. He ducked Demetrius Andrade around now three different times?

Munguia may have watched that fight and thinks he can beat or compete with Charlo. And guess what? That may be true, not like Charlo is impossible to hit or beat. He's a very good fighter, but he's not a super elite fighter. Munguia is young and has enough fights now to go for the top guns. No need to wait any longer.

I believe that Charlo next opponent should be against a fellow titleholder. Don't get me wrong; Munguia would make for a very fun and interesting match up but he doesn't hold a major Middleweight title belt.

Time is running out on Jermall Charlo to unify the titles because he is outgrowing the division. He barely made weight this time. Munguia would be a very entertaining and crowd pleasing fight until Jermall Charlo starts unifying the titles before it gets too late.

Sure, getting Murata, GGG or Andrade next would be great. But if that doesn't happen and he doesn't want to move up?? Then Munguia is perfectly fine.

He needs to move up to 168 though. That's where he can get Canelo and he has fights against Jacobs, Plant and Benavidez at.
