Comments Thread For: Jermall Charlo Will 'Just Continue To Fight Fights Like These' If He Can't Get Canelo, GGG, Others

How about Andrade, Benavides who have been calling you out? GGG is the only one that you hold water with because even Canelo's people offered you the fight Charlo turned down and Jacobs got the shot, remember that, I would even respect more if he would of fought someone like Eubanks Jr instead of the guy he choose, this guys excuses are unbelievable and getting old, needs to learn from his brother on how to take on good comp.Comment

This is actually a really good point, but it's also a hard ask of charlo to move up and right away fight Benavidez. He'd need at least 1 fight at super middle to get use to the weight before facing a monster like David.
I think he should do everything he can to pursue a fight against the GGGvsMurata winner, then fight Andrade or move up.Comment

WHAT??? "Whoever they want Jermall Charlo to fight. Right now, I got Juan Montiel." HELL NO, Charlo is fighting Montiel because he and the promotional company he owns and runs hand PICKED Montiel. "They"???? You are the "they"!!!!
To be clear, when Jermall received a 7 million dollar offer to fight Andrade he went silent, he put down the phone and walked away. later Charlo blamed his promotional company, a company that has just two employees...Jermall amd Jermell Charlo.

Benevidez isn’t a “big fight.” Benevidez nor Charlo can pull 400k ppvs. He’s a champ and wants the 1 mil ppv paydays that come with Canelo or GGG. I’m not saying it’s right but Benevidez can’t draw flies to s h I tLast edited by Boxingfanatic75; 06-17-2021, 09:07 AM.Comment

Not exactly, Matchroom is a promotional company and Al Hayman is a manager and advisor. Danny Jacobs has worked with Hearn and Hayman for years and he took the biggest fights wherever he could find them on the network that paid the most..period.
Al Haymon does not in fact promote fights, Al advises fighters and most self promote but NONE, and I repeat NONE, have an exclusive contract with any particular network. The unique thing about the PBC is that every PBC fighter can fight when they want, who they want and most importantly.... wherever they want.Comment

"The 39-year-old Golovkin (41-1-1, 36 KOs) probably wouldn’t be an option for Charlo (31-0, 22 KOs) until next spring because the IBF/IBO middleweight champion likely will take a tune-up type of fight late in the summer before facing WBA middleweight champ Ryota Murata (16-2, 13 KOs) late in December in Tokyo."
Ummmm... what? Why on the Good Lord's Blessed green Earth does Golovkin need a tune up fight for? All he has had since the Alvarez loss is tune-up level fights. It is FREAKING crazy the amount of no fights we have at 160. Charlo says no one will sign. Andrade says no one will call him back. Golovkin has stopped even pretending that he cares. Murata is apparently happy to fight once every 18 months. Munguia made all kinds of noises about fighting top level and settled for leftover Golovkin roadkill.Derevyanchenko has gone radio silent. What is up at MW?
Actually, upon further review, I guess the Juan Montiel fight for Charlo may be as good as it gets these days.Comment
