Well, GGG and Murata have each other. Who knows how many fights GGG even has left at this point. It may be - tune up, Murata, Canelo, then he's done. He could also finish at 168. Murata is a draw himself in Japan, he doesn't need Charlo, and if he and GGG fight in December, it would likely be late 2022 before Murata-Charlo is even a possibility.
I 100000% agree, but I'm a hard core fan. How many PPV buys you think Charlo-Benavidez would generate if they fought right now with absolutely no titles on the line? How would you sell that to the casuals?
I disagree on muraya and GGG having other options. what other big names are left at 160? They have to fight charlo if they want to unify. Andrade has the WBO, but we both know Charlo surpasses.
I don't think casuals really care about belts tbh. They care about the sh.it talking, grudge matches, buzz etc.Comment

True but in the end Charlo was being offered a very winnable fight followed by a real fight and a rematch. When you look closely at the details it was a very lucrative deal but yes, you are correct, Hearn was certainly looking for 3 fight deal.
Al remains the advisor, but Jacobs has an EXCLUSIVE Dazn deal. He can't just fight on any network he wants. In order for the fight to happen, Hearn would have to make Charlo an offer to fight on Dazn, the problem is most of Hearns offers include +1,+2 fights, meaning Charlo would owe Hearn additional fights. No free agent fighter put their career in the hands of a rival promoter.
