Not liking someone used to be justification for wanting to hurt them in the ring. Spence needs a spokesman. He sounds like he's perched on a throne who can revive careers. He's barely known outside the US.

Man boxing sad now. Like a damn soap opera. You don’t want fight because you think he’s a cornball but at the same time you say he’s still a good fighter. Thurman today still a good name to have a on a resume.

That's my point he beat those 2 about 4 years plus ago. Since then he has fought twice in a span of 4 years and struggled against Josesito Lopez and lost to Pac. Whoever the public is that is referring to him as one the best welters isnt considering that. Like I said I'd pick Boots, Ortiz Jr and probably Benn over Thurman right now. Thurman has alot of ground to make up and IMO if he rematches Porter he loses bad.

Now that I completely understand, spence had been calling out thurman for a minute before pac and thurman kept saying its not the right time it needs to build up, To be honest what is the point in fighting thurman now spence has done a way better job fighting and beating the same opponents that thurman already fought. I really thurman as a fighter but he bluffed his way out of a huge fight.

This is what I said to ShaneMosleySr and he didnt grasp it. Thurman WAS on top of the division in 2017 but that was 4 years ago. He showed so much ring rust against Josesito Lopez he struggled to win and Pac beat him like he was his Dad. Thurman is shop worn and injury prone nowadays. In order for him to make a statement in the division again he will have work his way back into the conversation IMO and i dont think he's capable anymore. He hasn't looked the same since the DSG fight.

Yes, you are so accurate and that is so true. That Danny Garcia fight ruined Keith Thurman's career. He hasn't been the same since his elbow surgery and recently he has had hand surgery too.

Spence vs Thurman is a GREAT Super fight. I couldn't care less about their beefs. THIS FIGHT IS GOOD FOR BOXING and we should be happy if we can get this at some point.

Got to agree with Spence on this. Thurman talks big game but hasn't done much in a long time. At this point, with all the evasion Thurman did to avoid Spence, if I were Spence, I'd also be like, f him. He lost his chance to make something big happen when he was meaningful. Thurman needs a good win to get back into serious contention. He seems happy just living a hippy life where he has no more motivation to go onto big things in boxing. Other than probably a big paycheck that is.

These new gen fighters don't care at all about legacy. Just scoring that mega millions paycheck and be out.
