AJ will surpass Mike Tyson as an ATG if he beats Usyk

Beating people your suppose to /heavily favored to beat yet lose then rematch and finally beat doesnt make you an atg. AJ isnt the best his division . yet for aj to be a top 5. AJ has to blitz ko fashion usyk beat wilder n fury 2x for belt n rematch clause then beat 2 younger lions atleast on paper sanchez hrgovic then retire with belts no further loses then I would rank him top 10 for 3x hw champ unified beat atleast 8-10 top 10 in division so depth resume .

Mike Tyson had far bigger odds to win then A.J ever did . Tyson lost his first fight as the underdog against Lewis . A.J is only 26 fights in to keep comparing them at this stage as though A.J is on his way out is ridiculous ,he’s way ahead of the curve the way you guys go about this is like complaining Mike Tyson should’ve beat Foreman , Ali , Ray Mercer Rid**** Bowe etc etc .

I have never seen Mike Tyson on the ropes like 1980 Ali like that. And, they never rang the bell for Tyson 10 seconds earlier like bodybuilder. Bodybuilder is untalented, unskilled PR machine. Tyson is overrated and his resume is mediocre but he had at least talent.

A.Js 11th round stoppage against Klitschko, Ruiz 12 round boxing lesson and competitive Usyk fight to the end is much more impressive in 26 fights then whatever Mike Tyson did against the guys he’s fought in later rounds who were well over matched in his prime .

Tyson was 19 old he can't go 5 fights and then fight for title also back then was harder to get title shout and im not sure than when tyson went 12 round 120-107 distance was subpar performance or when he outjabbed 6'5 Tucker 118-113 119-11 or Ruddock 2 where was AJ at 20 old?

Holyfield and Mercer were not punchers. Both had under 60% KO rate. Tyson has good power, just not Wilder or W. Klitschko level.

As I said you blatantly haven’t studied or watched these fighters properly if you’re coming out with nonsense like that. I’m not even a big Mike fan, but his run from 86-89 was very impressive. Consistently ran through current, former, future champions.

Povetkin is C level at best for me, never beat anybody I rated. What’s his best win? Chagaev? Huck? The other 3 are C level at best also. Ruiz, Parker and Pulev wouldn’t even be contenders in past eras. The fact two of them won titles just shows what little depth this current era has.

The way I look at it:
A Level: Fury and possibly Usyk.
B Level: Wilder and AJ.
The rest genuinely aren’t worth a damn, aside from a few rising contenders who remain unexposed and may have untapped potential.

There is no sport on this planet that has declined from the 80s. The HWs have got bigger and more athletic.

The biggest myth in boxing is that the "golden eras" of HW were when pretty much only Americans boxed.
