"Unbeknownst to investors, starting in or about April 2013, the Trustees permitted and approved purchases by Ryan Caldwell, one of the two portfolio managers of the Funds, of approximately $925 million of private securities in a start-up and potentially criminal company in the field of professional boxing promotion. These purchases had no economic justification, but rather were motivated by Caldwell's personal interest and benefit. In fact, Caldwell acknowledged at or about the time that this boxing promotion company faced short-term losses of hundreds of millions of dollars (the Funds' money), and personally attended business meetings on behalf of this company's shady entrepreneur, Alan Haymon, to pledge future financial support from the Funds."

Haymon got it done in the US, in less time and without lying to the fans. That's the real message.
Arum is on record saying his guy can't draw money in the States and he refused to take a small financial risk on his fighter.
That is what happened. I'm sorry. Arum failed you and Crawford.Comment

Errol Spence Jr. rarely passes on the opportunity to take a jab at rival Bob Arum. Heading into his preparation for a potential star-making fight against Manny Pacquiao, the WBC and IBF welterweight champion Spence (27-0, 21 KOS) took another swing at the Top Rank boss, this time for the Hall of Fame promoter failing to get a fight made for Terence Crawford to be fighting Pacquiao instead.

Not sure why they hate seeing a black American figure as the most influential corporate type in American boxing. I’m wasn’t that long ago that another black American named Don King was the most influential promoter in the sport...and no one would ever compare the business practices of those two or any of the old promoters to a figure like Haymon who shows his fighters how to keep more of their purses and make their money make more money. It’s really quite sick how these racists hate the man so much.
if he was white, they’d love him.Comment
