The truth is neither one of these guys is that great.

Fury would have gotten his ass kicked by prime Vitali Klitschko. And the Wladimir Klitschko he beat was 40 years old, and Fury then twice cancelled rematches he'd signed for and wasted Wlad's time near the end of his career.

This static HW division is horrible, it's mostly talk and no action. And now the sport is being taken over by "influencers" making millions. Hard to take this sport seriously right now.

Wlad against fury was always gonna be the same outcome no matter what age they were, wlad had no answer to fury's head movement and feints, did u even watch the fight? It was so one sided it was embarrassing, he barely laid a glove on fury, granted fury didn't really connect heavily on wlad either but he didn't need to, he was so far up on the cards even the dodgy german judges couldn't find a way to make wlad win

Just go rewatch the Deontay Wilder vs Bermane Stiverne 2 bout and just decide for yourself if anger is good or bad thing for Deontay Wilder. Personally, I think it's a good thing for him. It's a great motivator. Anger seems to bring the best out of him.

To be honest that second fight v stiverne short as it was, was the best I've seen deontay's jab looking, thrown with spite, accuracy and ridiculous power, shame he went back to looking for the big power shots after that when he could easily break fighters down with the jab when it's thrown like that

I will have to respectfully disagree. You are one of the most decent posters that I have ever encountered on this forum but I must say that all signs are pointing to a Wilder victory here. Ultimately is it's going to come down to the fighter who wants it the most. Which is will and not skill.

However, I just think that Wilder wants it just a little bit more than Fury this time. Also, when you factor in that Deontay Wilder had more than seventeen months to recover from the brutal beating he took in the rematch; Therefore, I can see divine intervention at play here.

Had this pandemic never happen then Fury probably would have won the trilogy last year but now Wilder will be fully prepared, healthy and well rested this time. He even admitted it himself in that PBC podcast.

It has a lot more to do with quantum reality than even logic. probability is what we are finding out is the crime boss of our universe... As much as I see Fury as one representing the science and technical aspects of training as a fighting man, not fighting out of a dross style even critiqued in the earliest days of boxing (the ammys), I would LOVE to see Wilder do something fantastic. I would love to eat crow... I am a boxing fan, but I am even more a fan of humanity. I live to see us defy the odds... To see what will and courage can do (Wilder claiming such). Wilder is acting brave and may be brave and may be able to channel that bravery, and if he does he has my respect.

My point is there is no shame in going with Wilder here. Sometimes logic does beat the odds...
