Hearn is scared Triller would win a purse bid. He would rather screw AJ out of a big payday and forfeit his title than get embarrassed.

Not understanding the drama here on the part of young Edward....he even threatened the Fury camp with a Usyk fight if they didn’t “get the situation sorted.” It’s about the best opponent for Olafemi at the moment. The undisputed cruiser weight champion who is undefeated at heavyweight should be the mandatory challenger coming up in weight. Not sure why they would want to duck Usyk. Fight em.

Cruiserweight undisputed champion Vs Heavyweight undisputed champion. Let’s get it on.
its not quite the fight we all wanted but Fury never wanted it just like the girl he is fighting next. So let them have their scripted BS where Wilder wins the next one so they need a 4th and undisputed king Joshua can keep wiping out the top 10 fighters that actually want to fightLast edited by DaNeutral.; 05-31-2021, 05:03 PM.Castilo

Never going to be an easy negotiation. Usyk isn't a cash out kind of fighter imo, so he won't be looking at the fight that way. He's set the aim of being Champion.
But his team know that if they dig in then they can force it to purse bids and likely AJ would vacate. Leaving Usyk to fight Joyce for the vacant title. Whatever you think of Joshua, Usyk will see Joyce as a more likely path to a belt.
It's going to take AJ overpaying Usyk for the fight to happen, same as with all of the other mandatories and unifications he's fought. Having multiple belts is costing him millions; he's barely fought a voluntary since winning them.
The big question is how long AJ will keep paying for these belts when Undisputed has never looked further from happening. At some point he's going to drop them and make fights in his own terms. I hope it's not now, and that he has one last go at making Undisputed.

I think Usyk is the best available fight for AJ given Fury and Wilder are on fight 3 of their heptalogy -- like you, I hope AJ sticks with the mandatory to try and make a go of the undisputed.brown_knight06 likes this.
