Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Reacts To John Fury's Anger Over Wilder Trilogy Fight

Warren is clearly more educated and experienced in these matters than young Edward and less bent than Arum. He literally says all the right things. Papa eyegouging Fury’s claims of American conspiracies and his son dropping belts fixing the issue show just how wonky his thinking is on the matter. He like so many just cannot understand the legal process involved....YOU CANT BREAK A CONTRACT THAT YOU SIGNED IN ABSENCE OF DURESS. dumping a belt had nothing to do with it. Fury literally can’t fight anyone but wilder in his next fight....period....he can fight wilder or retire. He can fight someone else and be subject to a lawsuit that could be in the 9 figure range for everyone involved. And he would win.

“In terms of this reported December cancellation clause, that is a question for Top Rank, who contracted with Wilder’s promoters as it was a US fight.”

Warren basically admitting he has no say.

All this "Fury didn't duck AJ" campaign reminds me of "BJS didn't quit" campaign from a couple of weeks ago.
Please someone tell them, the more u stir shit, the more it stinks.

Of course he doesn’t have a say. He just gets a bit of commission for allowing a joint promotion deal, even that was out of pure desperation to keep working with Fury in future. Who has he got thats a big name apart from Fury? His next biggest earner that could sell was probably Warrington with his Leeds following and he went back to Eddie at first opportunity.

When Frampton signed with Warren, then Top Rank, the deal was basically Top Rank do his fights in USA and Warren does in the UK, and the other gets a tiny commission. Well I imagine Fury has a similar deal but doesn’t fight in the UK anyway...so Frank is as good as pointless when it comes to Fury now.

I think Joe Joyce is with Warren.

Yeah but he’s not a big draw, As much as I like him.

I think he can do well though.
