Bottom line is this. If he goes in there with someone even slightly better than Linares , he loses. Who cares about rounds won and lost ? Haney was on ***** street for 2 solid rounds. One solid, crisp , combination from someone that hits as hard as Linares and Haney is out of there. Linares is an old jr.ightweight. , and had Haney at his mercy . A Loma, Lopez , a Garcia , a Tank, doesn't let situations like that slip thru their fingers. Haney was lucky Linares couldn't pull the trigger again. That's all this fight was. Luck on Haney's part. Good performance from Haney. He fought in the pocket and aside from the one good shot from Linarez, he took the shots well. It will be interesting to see how he stands up to Teos power though.

I’m not a fan of Garcia much but both situations are incomparable. Canelo and Floyd both had enough power to hurt their opponents in their lower weights. Floyd was knocking dudes out in his younger days. Canelo is somewhat in that spectrum.

This is Haney’s younger days. He couldn’t hurt a chinny Linares. It’s not just about Haney being wobbled, but rather, when he does get wobbled, he doesn’t have enough power to answer back. I can’t say the same about Garcia. He could get knocked down multiple times but still get you out of there.
