So let’s suppose Had Andy Ruiz tried his best to not give AJ and Eddie the rematch in Saudi, and pressed ahead signed to fight wilder, announced to the world wilder is next, and then Joshua wins in court and its ruled he gets his rematch, are you telling me Eddie would of even entertained a step aside offer? Would Joshua of been willing to just take a pay off?

You do understand a step aside deal don’t you? If yes, you’ll know that wilder would of gotten £20M to wait a year or so but still get his rematch.

All of this is the TYPICAL mess after a hearn big-fight negotiation. More failure than success, bad blood all around, pitiful fan-girls backed into corners trying to defend hearn/AJ, and boxing careers in temporary disarray. We get this nearly every time hearn & co. negotiate a Big Fight with AJ included. Unfortunately, AJ can't seem to be in a big fight without hearn and all of his drama/nonsense. They just don't seem to be able to contract a big fight (minus rematch BS, attempts to take over other fighters careers for a time, venue issues, who ets paid what issues, and complete domination of "the actual promotion" of the fight by hearn. Boxing will be so much better off when this guy is no longer in the mix for making Big Fights, Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Larry Holmes, Marciano, etc ... all contracted MANY big fights without all of the rancor, delays, general BS, and more that seem to always be a part of a hearn negotiation.

Yes it's Hearns fault for giving Fury everything he demanded and delivering on his end.

Matchroom aren't amateurs. They knew from the beginning that the contract was PROBABLY GONNA GET ENFORCED. They've used the courts plenty to keep their own contracts honored. Theyr ALMOST pulled a major fight together, but ...

Isn't it painfully obvious how many parallels there are between this (failed) promotion attempt, and the failed attempts with Wilder ... and (their own) Whyte ... and in essence, any fight they've tried to make with an active, established, champion or top contender when it comes to AJ fighting? That's all my post was about. How, sadly, when it comes to a major Joshua fight .... if they don't already have the opponent locked into a contracted compromised position (Ruiz rematch) ... they can never get it done. And it always involves lots of false alarms, missed deadlines, lies about a deal being complete, chest-pumping that they are doing all the work to make the fight (i.e. take all the advantages), attempts to lock opponents into mutil-fight deals under their banner, etc. etc. etc.

Which always seems to add up to: FAIL!!
