I'm fine with it AJ can use this as a stay busy fight until the outcome of Fury vs Wilder 3 then fight the winner for undisputed

There are others more deserving. Whyte and Joyce for example. I do like the match, but you can't just expect to jump to the front of the lineup.

You've just explained why that fight will never be allowed ..

With Miller out, Hearn would need a name to fight in the US, perhaps before the trilogy.

One thing is for sure, Eddie needs a plan for Joshua outside of the Fury fight for that is never guranteed. If Joshua-Fury/Wilder happens, great. Otherwise, they need a good plan B. Ortiz fits into that if it happens without a year. Otherwise, he may be too old for any realistic challenge himself.
If you think that AJ v Usyk is a one sided fight then you don't know much about boxing

I know boxing enough to understand what is the expectation and what would be an upset. Usyk beating AJ would be an upset rather than the expectation. Surely, Usyk ain't expected to get KO'ed in the first round but he is expected to get KO'ed in the fight. Even if he doesn't, pretty unlikely he wins a decision over Joshua in the UK.

Didn't Ortiz have his chance at Joshua when Big Pharmacy Miller screwed everything up?

Luis...what part of MANDATORY can't you see? Usyk has been waiting and waiting and waiting. You got 2 shots at Wilder and were paid well in losing both.
What makes sense for you right now is to fight one of the contenders. There are quite a few who would give you a good fight and you would stay busy.
Hope you fight soon. Good luck.

So clear Ortiz's team has been waiting for another huge offer from Hearn. Man that's a very long wait. One more PBC scrub to fight, then wait, wait wait...

Don't back track ...... you made it seem like the AJ win was a foregone conclusion. Which it isn't. That's why AJ/Hearn do not want this.
And based on the fact that AJ was knocked out or badly hurt at least 3 times in his career and Usyk hasn't once in his that I'm aware of, a KO certainly isn't an expected thing.

I think the point is, we don't know if he can beat those guys because we have very little to go by on his resume. He beat Jennings a long time ago and he outboxed Wilder before getting sparked on two occasions. Rivas and Joyce accomplished the former and quite a few have done the latter (outboxed Wilder before getting sparked).

He claims he's avoided yet he has guys within PBC he can fight and he opted not to fight AJ when his opportunity presented itself. I'd love to see him against Ruiz or even Wallin but I think he's content waiting and hoping to cash out in one last big payday that may never come.
