Loma would have been better off saying nothing.

It's really on him though. Show up to fight next time. Cause he really gave Teo way too much respect and let him have rounds too often. Which led to Loma not fighting his own game, which is usually smothering opponents out of the match.

This is my opinion from fans point of view. I do know this man for over 15 years and wish him nothing, but well.
        I agree 100%.

I don't know what needs to change.

What was the game plan for Lopez? Maybe hos shoulder wss messed up but still that's a bad look.

Loma did have success later in the fight (I've only watched once)

He knows he was intimidated by Lopez confidence and big strong smart style and that's why he was so tentative and inactive in the early rounds, but his pride makes him say it was a draw. Very few fighters admit to losing a close decision. Loma is no exception.

If he truly believed it was a draw why not demand immediate rematch? He doesn't want rematch yet, he hopes Lopez screws around and diminishes himself which a lot of great fighters do once they get a taste of the big time and success goes to their head.

            .

More work whiffing punches and hitting gloves, sure.

When a pro fighter says he thought it was a draw that means he lost. Every close I fight I ever had I think I won. If you think you deserve a draw you defiantly lost the fight.

If so many people wouldn't sit up here lying to themselves and capping about what they saw, I wouldn't need the video.
